Bromance/kidnapping
The seven were heading toward Athens to end this war, one way or another. They had gotten Percy and Annabeth back from Tartarus and there hadn't been any monster attacks in a few days. Jason sighed and leaned his weight against the railing of the Argo 2, relaxing his tense shoulders. It was around noon and he was on guard duty again. He looked at the soft clouds around him. It was a good feeling to be in the air again. The last nine days, they had stayed close to the sea to help Percy recover and now Jason was in his domain again. He closed his eyes and smiled. Despite the monsters and evil earth goddess that wants to kill them, Jason really enjoyed the time with the rest of the seven. They grew very close in those past months. The half-bloods weren't strangers anymore, they were family.
The comfortable atmosphere was interrupted by angry wailing. Jason's eyes shot open and he pulled out his golden coin. He flipped it and looked around the sky, trying to find the creature that had made this horrible sound. His eyes landed on horde of flying objects that advances on the ship with high speed. Jason cursed and pressed the alarm button. He turned back to the monsters and narrowed his eyes, trying to figure out what they were.
He raised his sword as the first ones landed in the deck and realised that he was facing Harpys. Great. The biggest one stared into his eyes and Jason glared right back. Those monsters distroyed his peaceful day, he was going to show no mercy. The first Harpy attacked with a loud screech, it's talons aiming for Jason's sword arm. He easily side stepped and swung his Gladius at the monster, hitting it straight in the chest. It exploded into golden dust. The next ones weren't so stupid and circled him instead of attacking individually. Jason slowly spun around, trying to keep an eye on all of them, but he knew that he needed help. Then, they attacked.
Jason's battle instincts kicked in and he ducked under a swing of a Harpy, bringing his sword down on another one. He blocked the claws of his earlier attacker and kicked it in the face, sending it to the ground. He impaled the monster and turned just in time to see claws coming toward his face. Jason hadn't had the time to lift his sword and he saw everything in slow motion, the monsters around him and the one that was about to kill him...
A glowing sword cut through the Harpy like butter and Jason saw the grinning face of Percy Jackson. "Need a little help?" Jason rolled his eyes. "You're late. Duck!" Percy ducked and Jason cut over his head, killing another monster. Percy spun around and slashed a Harpy that was about to attack Hazel. She nodded a thanks and turned back to her own Harpys. Percy grinned. "I think we are just in time." He locked eyes with Jason. Jason didn't know how, but he understood the silent message and leaped to the side as Percy thrust his sword forward, impaling a Harpy in the eye. The son of Poseidon frowned. "How did you know what I wanted from you?" Jason shrugged and parried a talon, kicking a Harpy in the back. "Don't know. I guess we just know each other's moves by now, considering I saved your life, like, a thousand times." Percy snort. "Prop-" He jumped backwards to avoid a deathly sharp wing. "Damn it. We have to do something, Jason! We are-" He was cut of again, but this time by a voice.
"Stop fighting, demigods, or the boy dies."
The two cousins spun around and their eyes widened. "Drop your weapons. Now!" Jason and Percy looked at the others warily. They would be dead meat if they listened. The leader Harpy seemed to notice their hesitation and grinned. Well, they guessed it was a grin, but on the monsters face, it looked more like a grimace. It reminds Jason of the face Percy made when Annabeth forced him to eat broccoli. "We aren't here to kill you. We just want two things. Now drop your weapons, or I will slit the son of Hephaestos' throat." Percy locked eyes with Leo, who was deathly pale, and slowly lowered his weapon, Jason and the others following his lead. "We did as you asked, now let him go."The Harpy laughed. "Only if we get what we came for. Swear on the river Styx that you will give those two things to us, and we will let him go." The demigods glanced nervously at each other. "Guys," muttered Annabeth. "We don't really have a choice. Leo is part of our team. He's family and honestly, no one makes Tacos like him." Piper smiled slightly. "Yeah, we have to save him, but we don't know what they want. This is dangerous. We take a great risk if we agree." Percy looked at everyone and then to Leo, who was still standing with the Harpys, talons at his throat. "We have to do it. He'd do the same for us." Jason nodded. "Yeah. Let's save our Repair boy. He can't ignite now, they would kill him instantly, so we don't have a choice. We need to accept their conditions." Everybody nodded.
"Okay. We swear on the river Styx that we will give you the two things you came for if you let Leo go." The Harpy let out a cackle. "Good, very good." It pushed Leo forward, who was instantly embraced by Piper and Jason. The monsters laughed. "Now give us Jason Grace and Perseus Jackson."
"What?!" Jason's incredulous yell was ignored. "No way!" Glared Annabeth, taking Percy's hand. The Harpy bared it's teeth. "You swore on the Styx. You don't have a choice."
The two boys looked at everyone's desperate face. "Please, Seaweed Brain. I can't loose you, not again." Percy lowered his head and fought back tears. He had just gotten out of Tartarus and now he was being kidnapped again. Not that that was anything new. But leaving Annabeth... he didn't want to, he needed her. But again, they didn't have a choice."I am sorry, Wise Girl." Annabeth hugged him tightly, tears running down her cheeks. "I will get you back, I promise." Jason watched with sad eyes and turned to Piper. "I love you, Pipes." She smiled watery. "I love you, too. Make sure you come back to us in one piece or I'll kill you, Jason Grace." She gave him one last kiss, before Jason and Percy were taken by the Harpys. They bound their hands behind their backs and the last thing the half-bloods saw were their friends, watching with sadness in their eyes. Then everything went black.
