Michael hummed as he texted he looked at himself in the mirror. His shirt was still slightly wrinkled which irritated him to no end. But he was already almost late so he had no time to iron it or get the wrinkles out.

The Filipino's hair was sticking out all over the place and was still damp from his earlier shower. With a sigh, he reached up and started attempting to tame the wavy, dark brunette locks that stuck out every-which-way. It was always hard for him to find a way to tame his hair when it got like this. Tonight, though, it was necessary. He needed to look perfect.

You see, Michael was getting ready for prom. Honestly, he never thought he'd be going to prom. But now here he was, getting ready for prom that he would be going to. With his boyfriend he'd gotten after the SQUIPcident ended.

His boyfriend was yet another thing Michael never thought would happen in his life. He'd liked Richard Goranski since sophomore year, even with the boy's persistent bullying; although, with Rich being popular and Michael a loser it was very unlikely. It was unlikely for Rich to even think of Michael except for being 'Anti-Social-Headphones Kid.'

Except now here they were. Getting ready for prom that they would be going to together. Michael was trying his best to look absolutely and utterly perfect for his boyfriend. After all, nobody really knows what happens on prom night. You just have to let things run their course until whatever happens just happens.

"Ina, are you ready yet?" Michael called out to his mother with a grin. He slipped his red vest on and buttoned it up. His bowtie was already on and he fixed it after his vest was on neatly.

"Not yet, Anak! Looking for my phone!" Michael's mother called out with a hum after that.

Michael sighed and shook his head, running his hands through his hair. Partly from his anxiousness and to help fix it. But it was clearly not working as his hair was all over the place still. With a groan, Michael pulled out his phone so that he could text his boyfriend with a small smile.

Mell Fell Into Hell: Hey, babe. I'm so sorry that I'm not there!! Ina lost her phone and I'm waiting on her.

Mell Fell Into Hell: Actually, I'm on my way. I'll let Ina take pictures of us after prom.

Bitch ❤️: Alright, baby!!! I'll see you soon 😘

Michael smiled at the text from his boyfriend and hummed in content. "I'll let you get photos when we get home, Ina! I'll go pick up Richie on my own!" Michael called out with a bright smile. He then hurried down to the first story with a smile.

His mother sighed and shook her head with a soft sigh. "Fine, fine. But look at you! My handsome young man has grown up so fast," she smiled and kissed Michael's forehead.

Michael smiled in return and leaned down, since he was taller than his mother, and kissed her cheek sweetly. "Mahal kita, Ina," he said to his mother with a grin.

His mother smiled at his son and laughed softly. "Mahal kita, Anak," she hummed as she reached up and fixed his bowtie a bit. "Now go have fun! I'm expecting to see you and Rich here by midnight to get your photos taken," she said with a smile.

Michael hummed and nodded. After a few more minutes, Michael went to the front door and grabbed his keys. Then he was outside, heading to his car for a reason he thought would never become a reality. Going to prom with the boy he'd had a crush on since he was fifteen. Now he was eighteen-years-old and dating one of the hottest guys in school.

With a soft smile at that thought, Michael got in his PT Cruiser, which didn't smell as strongly of weed. He'd been attempting to quit after nearly getting caught by the police one night. And with his boyfriend's and all of his friends' help, Michael was starting to stop. And quickly as well.
