Jimin's already got a head start on drinking, knowing that in order to be his most supportive self to his more than deserving boyfriend tonight, he needs to be a little tipsy.
The club asked the Bangtan Boys to come back to perform again when they got a last minute opening so here Jimin and Jin are, sitting and waiting for their men to come out. Yoongi actually told him that he didn't have to come since he knows the younger is not in the best of mind sets, but Jimin insisted. After all, this is Yoongi's dream and he wants to be there for him during it.
A female group by the name of Red Velvet has just finished up and they're waiting for the boys to come up next.
"I love this," Jin hums.
Jimin nods along, feeling a little guilty that he doesn't quite share the same sentiments.
"Hey, what's been going on with you?" the elder male suddenly asks, nudging the other's shoulder. "You haven't been to your classes for days and ignoring my calls."
Jimin simply shrugs. "I think I'm done."
"Done? With what?"
"With college. With being a business man. With all of the bullshit. Who the hell knows where the hell I'm supposed to be right now, but clearly this path I'm on isn't it. So I'm dropping out."
Jin chews on the inside of his cheek, trying to hold a reaction back. "So what are you going to do?"
Another shrug from the younger. "I'll figure it out."
"And Yoongi's okay with that?"
That question pierces his heart, making him like an even shitter person.
"Yeah he is," Jimin softly answers. "He really wants me to be happy. He told me to take some time to figure things out instead of just jumping into something else. He's...amazing."
Perhaps it's the alcohol or maybe just the extra vulnerability, but his eyes water a little.
"Good," Jin says with a small smile. "And things will be okay. You'll figure it out and probably end up married too soon enough."
Jimin grins down at the promise ring on his left hand. Then looks over to the gold engagement ring on Jin's finger.
"I know I've been giving you a hard time, but I really am happy for you and Namjoon."
"Thanks Jimin-ah."
A soft silence falls between them as Jimin stirs his drink and Jin eagerly glances up at the stage.
The lights begin to change and music starts to blare.
It's showtime.
His boyfriend spectacularly strolls out in tight leather pants that hug all the right places. Namjoon and Hoseok are dressed similarly. They cockily skin the crowd before Namjoon starts pumping everyone up.
Jimin goes up to the bar to get a refill, eyeing Yoongi, who is being extra flirty with the crowd tonight. For some reason, it makes his stomach twist and blood boil a little.
"You know, you're never been good with sharing," a deep voice says in his ear.
He looks over to the self assured Taehyung grinning at him like the Cheshire Cat.
"Excuse me?"
"You don't like Yoongi doing this," Tae further explains. "You don't like seeing people want him."
"That's not true," Jimin snaps. "I'm happy for him."
"Then why don't you seem like it?" He chews on the inside of his cheek as Taehyung's grin grows wider. "That's what I thought. It's okay. I'd be a little jealous too."
