Chapter eighteen

" Oh, Care I'm so sorry. " Einahnna says into her phone.

Someone turned her dad and he refused to transition. She can't imagine what Caroline is going through right now.

He just gave up Khal. How could he do that?

She doesn't have an answer for her. Einahnna had never met her parents and can't relate to what she's going through.

" Do you want me to come over? Klaus doesn't want me out alone with Stefan running around but I'm sure he'd be okay with you coming here. " She offers.

No no, it's okay I know you have a lot going on over there. Just call me later okay?

" No problem Care. Keep your head up. " She says hanging up.

Putting her phone on the charger she hears footsteps coming. Then there's a knock at her open door. Looking over she sees Elijah standing there.

" Hey. " She says to the " noble one ".

Ever the gentleman he says, " hello, little wolf. May I come in "? 

She nods. He enters and comes to sit on her bed. Turning in her chair she faces him.

" I wanted to apologize for hurting you. I was so angry at Niklaus that I didn't even scent you out like I normally would. " He explains.

Einahnna smiles. " I don't blame you. I feel fine so don't feel bad. I've had much worse. "

" Ahh yes, Lue told me that you have been on the run your whole life. " He says crossing his leg over the other. " Do you know who's chasing you? " 

She's about to answer when Klaus clears his throat from the doorway. " Enough of the interrogation Elijah. " He says glaring at his older brother. " Nahn, love your garden is looking a little dry. Be a dear and go water it. Then we can go to the grocery store, it seems that Elijah has invited the Salvatore brothers to dinner tonight. "

" What!? " She yells jumping out of her seat. " Stefan Salvatore tried to kill me the other night. "

Klaus has a smug grin on his face at her outburst. He knew she would take his side on this matter.

Elijah stands knowing full well that the she-wolf has already bonded with his brother. " I'm sorry little wolf but we have grown up things to discuss. " He says patting her head like she's a child. 

He then walks out leaving her stunned.

" If Stefan takes one step near me I'll bite him. " She tells Klaus who grins at her.

" Here's hoping love. " He says kissing her cheek.

Elijah opens the door for Stefan and Damon. " Niklaus, our guests have arrived. " He calls out.

Klaus comes into view almost menacingly. " Damon. Stefan. Elijah tells me, you seek an audience. Very bold. Let's discuss the terms of our agreement like civilized men, shall we? "

" It's better to indulge him. " Elijah says walking past them into the room that holds a small table with four place settings.

Klaus grins as he gets his own way.

" I didn't come here to eat, Klaus. Fact, I didn't want to come here at all. But I was told I had to cause you would hear us out. " Stefan says still stepping away from Damon who doesn't look so sure about this plan.

Klaus chuckles. " Well, we can sit and eat or I can reach down your throats and pull out your insides. The choice is yours. " He says before taking his seat.
