She sprinted up the stairs to her apartment complex, taking two even three steps at a time. Arriving at her door in a record time she threw it open. The door flew back and banged into the wall of the apartment. This carried a bang throughout the complex but Carson could care less.

Inside the apartment was non other than Lea, drinking her typical morning tea. Of course the bang from the entrance of her friend disrupted this. She raised her head from the tea bag she had just placed in her mug, frightened by the sudden sound.

"I got the job!" Carson was at the door jumping up and down.

"You what?" Lea still a little shaken from the bang and hadn't fully comprehended what her friend said.

"Lea I got the job, i got the job!" Now Lea joined in on the jumping.

Her hand flew and hit her mug knocking the hot water and tea bag on the counter. The two didn't care, the only thing on there mind was the fact that Carson was going to be an actress.

"I'm so excited, I'm so excited." Carson was still yelling at this point, both girls still jumping.

"Wait I need to call Elise, she doesn't even know yet." Carson stopped jumping and did a 360 looking for her purse she threw somewhere in the room.

Her purse ended up being on the floor next to the door, but to her satisfaction her phone wasn't in it.

"I swear I put my phone in here." She was digging in her purse, not sure where she could have left it.

"It probably fell out when you threw it." Lea walked over to help her friend search for her phone.

"Why don't you call it." Carson asked.

Lea agreed and walked back to the kitchen to grab her phone. Once she had her phone she dialed Carson's number.

"I think I hear it." Lea said walking in Carson's direction.

Of course as soon as Lea called her phone she knew where it was, it was in her back pocket.

"Found it!" She pulled her phone from her back pocket showing it to Lea.

"Wait, are you serious, it was in your pocket the whole time. How did you not notice it?" Carson just shrugged and smiled at Lea.

She grabbed her phone and took a step outside before she called Elise.

Outgoing call to Elise

So how did it go?!

They want me in Atlanta in two weeks for screen testing.

Carson tried her best not to squeal into the phone.

Wait, are you serious?!

I'm just as shocked, i did it, we did it.

When do they want you to sign the contract?

They want me there on the 23rd.

So next friday?

Yep, im going to have to call out, probably take a shift on sunday again.

Your worried about calling out, you just landed a multi-million job!

Carson let out a small laugh.

Well i'm still putting in my two weeks, i love that place, i don't want to leave them hanging like that.

I would have just walked in, quit and then walked right back out.

I'm not you Elise

I know I know, anyway i'll have an attorney go
with us on the 23rd for legal reasons.

Ok that's fine

I'll talk to you soon then.

Ok Bye

Bye.

"So tell me everything that happened. Like did you you mess up." The two were out at lunch at a cute little diner downtown.

Diana's Cafe was a hole in the wall that Lea and Carson shared. They ate here about once a week. The prices were low considering the food was delicious. Between the pastries, sandwiches, burgers, salads and pasta it was heaven.

"Well i walked into this little office area room thing. The director and 3 other people were there, i don't remember what for but whatever." Carson reached over and took a sip of her drink before continuing.

"Ummmm, oh there were lights and a white backdrop behind me, the people were sat in chairs facing my direction. Now that I think about it those people were probably like producers, anyway back to the story. Umm there was one camera and a mic set up. Pretty much all they had me do was read the script and interpret the character the way I wanted to interpret her, does that make any sense?" All Lea did was nod, too fascinated by the story being told to give an actual answer.

"I read the script and they told me i did great, then they walked into a separate room and talked for a bit, about i don't know 10 minutes." Carson looked at Lea to insure she was still following the story.

The brunette was staring at Carson, and sipping her drink. Carson had never seen her so focused in there short friendship.

"Wait why are you laughing at me?" Lea was ultimately confused as to why Carson was laughing.

"Nothing, let me get back to the story, uhhhh, where was i at?"

"The director walked out the room for a long time."

"Oh yeah, so they left for 10 minutes right. I was super nervous. I didn't know if i even did that great and i was having a mental breakdown, and i was also sweating, and i also couldn't remember if i had put on deodorant. So it just added to the breakdown." Carson was really into the story at this point, she was throwing her hands and arms around everywhere really trying to add into the affect.

"They walked in and in all seriousness said, 'We really want you for the role and would like if you could fly out to Atlanta in two weeks for screen testing.' I just about fainted, i don't really remember what happened after that. I really only remember trying not to cry so they wouldn't take the deal back."

A/n

I rewrote the beginning of this one, the first one was really emotional and stuff but there wasn't enough detail in my opinion. The beginning I put in this one was a little shorter but it works better.

I hope your enjoying, I'm deciding to pick up the speed a little to go ahead and get Sebastian in soon. So the next update is when she puts in her two weeks and some conversations she has with family about the audition. After that it goes straight to when she lands in Atlanta for screen testing.

I hope you guys are enjoying this so far. Leave suggestions and feedback in the comments for this. I love getting feedback and suggestions on things I could add to the story. Anyways bye.
