9: Almost

Kayleen Rosie Maxwell

After the Styles argued, I decide to head home to rest. I ran a hand over my hair and opened the front door.

"Kayleen!" Kevin yells and I groan.

"What do you want?" I moan and close the door.

"Where have you been?" He scolds, "Be glad I covered up for you."

"Be glad that im home right now." I sigh.

"You want tea?" He asks in concern, "I was just making for myself."

"Yes please." My brother makes the bestest tea.

"What happened to Hemmings?" He smirks.

"Shut up. I don't like him." I say a little too fast, "Now make me some tea, peasant!"

"Mhmm." He says and walks in the kitchen.

I roll my eyes and march towards my room. I took a warm shower and instantly felt refreshed.

I wore a neon pink tank top with denim shorts. I put my hair in a bun, since I always fail miserably at the attempt of braiding my hair.

Kevin walks in quietly with his wonderful tea and I sat down then took the cup. I sip and grin.

"This tastes so good." I point at the cup.

"Oh, please. Im always good at making tea."

"Can't disagree with that." I smile.

"Tell me about you and Hemmings, idiot." Kevin says.

"It's nothing." I look away fron him.

"You do like him, do you?" Kev smirks and walks put of the room.

Did I really like Luke?

My phone rang and I immediately picked it up and held the device in my ear.

"Hello?"

"Kayleen." I hear his husky voice.

"Y-Yeah, Luke?" I stutter and widened my eyes. I never stuttered while talking to him.

"Look who's stuttering." I can feel him smirking.

"Im not-" I cut myself off, thinking that would be a waste of time, "What do you want?"

"Nothing."

I rolled my eyes, "Then leave me alone. I have other things to do." I hung up.

I decided to nap for a while and relax. I close my eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep.

I was woken up by my phone ringing. I groaned and reached for it anyway.

"What?" I say.

"Kay, it's Gemma."

"Oh. What's up?" I rub my eyes.

"I was wondering if you wanna eat dinner outside with me and Harry?"

"I'd love to, but I've been feeling under the weather." Behalf of it was true.

"You're just lazy aren't you?" She chuckles.

"Goodbye Gem. Have a nice night." I smile.

"Bye love. You too." And we both hung up.

I jumped out of bed and went downstairs to eat. There was a note attached to the fridge.

Out for a concert... Mum and dad will be back tomorrow morning. There's food in the fridge.

P.S. You need to stop eating my Ruffles, fatty

I rolled my eyes. It wasn't my fault I had passion for Ruffles. I opened the refrigerator and grabbed an apple then washed it. I took a little bite and moan at it's sweetness.

"What a dork." I hear someone.

I turn around and throw the apple at the person he falls down and covers his forehead, "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"

I grab the pan and point it at him. He looks up and I gasp, "What the fuck, Maxwell?"

"Hemmings?!" I yell, "What are you doing here?"

"Are your parents home?"

"That's none of your business. Now, get out of this house." I push him and he doesn't move, "Shit, you are heavy... And tall."

"I know." He grins and I stare at awe. He looks hot with that lip piercing.

I shook my head from my thoughts, "Get ooouuttt!" I say as I push his chest.

"Why? I just got here." His eyes looked at mine and I immediately get mesmerized.

His eyes shine brightly and we lean in closer and I wrap my arms around his neck and close my eyes.

"Kayleen!" I hear Kevin's voice.

Me and Luke jumped apart, startled. I widened my eyes as I realized what was about to happen.

I almost kissed him.
