Sanskar's pov

I can't believe that someone can look so beautiful. My heartbeat... My Swara is the perfect and the cutest bride I've ever seen. I seriously have no idea what I would do without her in my life. And I can't be anymore contended than this ever in my life... Of course there will be such occasions in the future where I'll will on top of the world because of happiness but nothing will be compared to today where I'll make my heartbeat my soul mate.

Today sitting beside her in front of this holy fire (agni) and tying the knot with her feels like a blessing. My sweet little bride whom I love to the moon and back is trying to avoid looking at me and I the blush on her chubby cheeks say it all... Oh I totally forgot that I'm at my own wedding and now when I look around... Why is everyone laughing at me??? And wait why is my little bride glaring at me??? "Bhai... Will you stop staring Swara and concentrate on what panditji (priest) is telling..." I heard laksh saying.

"Giraffe are you having second thoughts about this marriage???" I heard my bride asking me or rather accusing me

"Giraffe are you having second thoughts about this marriage???" I heard my bride asking me or rather accusing me... Before my 'I-will-rip-you-apart-if-you-make-my-sister-sad' brother in law goes all Tarzan on me I quickly replied, "What no heartbeat??? I was just admiring you... You look so beautiful tonight..." and here it goes. Now everyone is laughing at me and not to forget my not so innocent bride and my not so happy brother in law also were giggling. Thankfully I mom saved me and asked panditji to continue with the rituals.

We were asked to stand up for the jaimala and were given the garlands. Swara was asked first to put the garland but suddenly laksh and my friends picked me up making it difficult for my little wife and resulting in her pouting. I just couldn't see her sad, so I was about to tell Laksh to put me down when I saw Swara raised to my height and Arnav and Ansh carrying her and she was giving me a winning smile. At last we were able to put the garlands around each other...

Panditji then called Arnav and Khushi for the kanyadaan (a ritual where the bride's father gives his daughter's hand to the groom). Arnav seemed very hesitant and emotional while handing over Swara to me. I can't say I understand him because his love for her is beyond anyone's understanding. I just held his hand and squeezed it. I wanted to assure him that I will never break his trust and I finally feel relieved to see a smile forming on his lips. Swara and Khushi also had the same smile on their lips.

For gathbandhan (tying the ends of the dupatta and the shawl of the bride and groom symbolizing they are tied up in the pure bond of marriage) Maa came forward. After that we were asked to stand up for the saath pheras (taking seven rounds around the holy fire simultaneously reciting their vows) . I took hold of Swara's hand in my own and in the first four rounds I was ahead of her. I took all my vows with full sincerity.
