"These Bebe's kids ain't got no home trainin'. Imma teach his bad ass about tryna be fast," Denzel mumbled as he quickly got out of his car. I glanced over at Kiara, a smirk of victory evident on her face as she followed behind Denzel.
We had all decided that Denzel needed an intervention. We knew that there was no way he would voluntarily agree to one, so we had to trick him into showing up. Everybody was meeting at the park and it was up to Kiara and I to make sure that Denzel ended up there. Kiara told him that she saw a little boy holding Kimberly's hand and trying to kiss her on the cheek, he got mad, and that's how we ended up right here.
"That's what's wrong with this new generation anyway. They don't get whooped like we did when we was growin' up. When I'm done, I bet his lil ass won't go around tryna kiss people no more," Denzel stated firmly. As he was walking, he began loosening his belt, preparing to take it off.
The closer we got to the picnic section of the park, the more anxious I became. I know it will be hard to convince Denzel to go along with this intervention, but he needs help. On top of the nervousness I felt from waiting on Denzel's reaction, I was also anxious to see August.
I haven't talked to him since the day he told me about Aaliyah. I miss him and a part of me is ready to forgive him, but I can't get over the fact that he cheated and then lied about it. I don't even know if he wants to talk to me after what I said. Looking back, now I regret lying and saying that I cheated, but I was hurt and I wanted him to feel the same way I felt.
"What is this?" Denzel asked stopping in his tracks when he saw all the people sitting at the picnic tables. There was way more people than I thought it would be. I don't even know half of them.
"It's an intervention. I refuse to watch you turn into a crackhead, so we're getting you some help," I explained. I took a seat beside August and Kimberly, and Kiara sat
"Denzel, I ain't know you was addicted. I honestly didn't even know why we came back here," Baby J stated. I had never met Denzel's cousins before today, but I had heard a lot about them.
"DJ didn't tell you that I was havin' an intervention?" Kiara asked.
"Nah. He sent me a text that said, 'Man down! 11:30, pimp in distress! We gotta go save that lil nigga Denzel' and that was it. I didn't know what was wrong with him" Baby J answered. Denzel and his cousin act just alike. I always wondered what this world would do with 2 Denzels and now I know.
"He in love with the coco," DJ explained with a shrug.
"Aye, hit my plug, that's my...." Denzel added but Kiara cut him off.
"No, don't start Denzel. We're being serious right now. DJ I don't know why you encouraging his ass," Kiara scolded. Denzel looked at her for a moment like he was shocked that she cut him off.
