There he was again, slipping out of the Inquisitor's quarters before the crack of dawn for the third time this week. He hadn't been caught, at least, not to his knowledge, though he wasn't unaware of the rumors that circulated Skyhold. It was easy to simply ignore those however.
He couldn't help but grow a tad uneasy at the small comments of his "underserved" position. They'd followed him all his life and now for him simply being with someone who truly wished to be with him? It was almost foolish. In fact, he'd call it so - that was, if he didn't have the doubt of it as well. No matter how many times the Inquisitor tried to assure him, he still felt a bit unwelcome.
He made sure to leave early, as not to be seen, every morning. He stayed out of the Inquisitor's way to make sure he wasn't a bother. Hell, he even came to his quarters far beyond the hours which one would normally rest. The Inquisitor seemed to enjoy it. He never complained and even complimented his work at times. He clearly was doing well. Who else would do so much to keep their lover happy?

"Kaffas!" The magister hissed as he hit another body. He'd been so caught up he didn't see the man there before their impact. His lips pulled into a deep frown and he shifted in his clothes. "What are you doing up so early?"

"I could ask you the same thing, Pavus." The mercenary quipped, a large smirk on his lips at the mage's clear annoyance.

"Can't you just leave me alone!? You and your crew are such a bother," He hissed out with a glare as he began making his way to the library, only to be pulled back by his wrist. The Hazel eyed man was pressed flush against the sturdy, armored chest of the mercenary and a heavy arm locked him in place. It wasn't long before the two were moving, the large man practically waltzing around the main hall and causing Dorian's blood to boil - and not in the good way. "I do know that I am the most beautiful specimen in this hold, however, just as the rule in most art goes -- one may only look and not touch."

"Pavus, don't be so cruel," the mercenary purred lowly into the hissing male's ear. He forced the other around the building, his waltzed steps irritated Dorian with each taken. "Are you worried people will think you're cheating on the Inquisitor? How fun. Just another thing atop the list of 'things that make Dorian Pavus the worst man in the hold.'"

"You're a foul man. Unhand me before I-" He didn't get much else out before he was shoved forward and the sounds of someone walking up stairs began to resonate through the heavy walls of the hold. Dorian wasted no time in hurrying to the library, an unwelcome feeling settling in his gut.

He'd heard of the new damned mercenaries being a rowdy bunch. He didn't think they were that bold, however. He'd not had someone interact with him in such a way in so long it brought a shudder down his spine. Luckily, the Inquisitor mentioned he'd be taking care of them. Apparently they even managed to pull Cullen's leg.

"The new mercenaries are causing trouble again," He had said, his calloused hands making their way down Dorian's back and undoing the armor. "Had I known they were such trouble, I'm not sure I would have paid for them to join. Iron Bull has been having a blast with the lot though. But I can't have them harrassing other soldiers. Especially their damned leader."
