Souls POV:

"Hi guys." I hear maka say. wow her mood changes quickly. one minute she's pissed at me and the next she's smiling a real smile. Not a fake one she wears when trying to cover up when she's sad. But a real, happy smile. I guess she's back to her old self.

I was walking towards maka and the gang, trying to get in on the conversation. They didn't notice me. I was eavesdropping it's not cool to eaves drop... but am I eavesdropping? I mean maka knows I'm here so clearly she would want me to hear her conversation. I came in on an interesting part of it.

"FOUR YEARS GONE AND THAT'S YOUR HELLO!!! YOUR GOD DOESN'T ACCEPT THAT!!!" I chuckled. Liz pushed Blackwater away to speckto maka "How are you and soul doing?" Liz asks maka. Maka blushes a deep shade of red, not a tint of blush but full on beat red. It amused me until I realized what Liz asked. So I moved closer to hear better.

"Wellllll, I'm not exactly sure. On one hand it says I should forgive him for being a total scythe snob jackass. But on the other I shouldn't forgive him because he was the ultimate scythe snob, jackals, jerk." maka replied rolling her eyes and a small growl at the end of her response.

Oh no! I thought. I never told the guys about maka and I's little chat the day she disappeared. I have a feeling she's going to tell them. What will they think of me? Will they rebel against me or will they forgive and forget? There were a million outcomes going through my head.

"Souls always a snob, Maka. You should know that better than anyone." Liz said with a matter of fact tone in her voice. My eyes got big. THIS was it. This is what Maka is going to use to get payback for what I said.

Maka furrowed her brow. "Wait, you don't know?" Maka asked a bit confused that Liz and the others didn't know about our little.... disagreement.

"Know what?" Kid asked slowly. The others were just as curious to what maka has to tell them.

Maka looked at me with are-you-kidding-me eyes. I shook my head and she mouthed 'they need to know' I sighed and mouthed back 'alright, go ahead' she didn't say anything in response and turned back to kid in the others after awhile.

She looked at me for a couple seconds. And I could tell that she didn't want to but she had to. "... Well... Soul and I had a little disagreement.... about each others opinion on bringing home a different girl every night... and I didn't approve of his actions... so he caused me to leave." Maka said with a sigh.

I looked at her with questionable eyes. Why didn't she tell them the rest of it? Why wouldn't she tell them for payback. I shook my head to clear my thoughts. I was thinking way too much lately.

"Well, I have to go see lord death, bye guys!" Maka exclaimed putting on a fake smile and running off. I followed a few steps behind her. There was a question in mind I had to have answered... well a million questions.

"Hey maka? Um, why didn't you tell the others the whole story? And where were you all this time?" I asked.

Maka stopped in her tracks looking down. her blond, un-even bangs covers her eyes. "Well, I didn't tell them because I knew it would destroy your reputation as a 'cool guy' and a death scythe. You know making your meister cry doesn't exactly scream sweet, caring, and considerate." she responded in monotone.

"And why did you leave?" I asked in a whisper.

She looked at me teary eyed but swallow it to make it a straight eye and said "FIRST of all you wanted me to leave and secondly I didn't leave I was taken." She said spitting out the last part.

"Taken? Tell me what happened, where were you taken to? What did they have you do?" I asked a little bit worried now shaking her shoulders.

She looked at me with glassy eyes and sighed. "Alright"
