"May, mark" I hear maka say. who's mark? is he, her boyfriend? he better not be. wait why don't I want him to be maka's boyfriend? I don't like her like that... do I? I

"Soul...soul?" I was called out of my thoughts by maka. she looked worried about me. was it because I was thinking to much. and maka said before if I think to much I'll get a headache? I grabbed my head. ow, I guess she was right... as always.

"Ya, maka?" I replied letting my curiosity get the best of me. I walked over slowly, kind of nervous of what she has to tell me. why was I nervous? was this the day she told me mark was her boyfriend? wait why would I be nervous to hear that? we are nothing more than... I don't actually know what we are.

"Soul, this is mark. He is... a good friend of mine." she told me saying the last part almost too fast that I wouldn't be able to understand them. "and this is May. She is my other good friend." maka said with a smile.

"Hello soul, it's nice to meet you. even though maka said nothing of having a boyfriend." the girl supposedly called May said.

"B-boyfriend?!" maka and I said at the same time. Her arms making gestures to justify. me with a blush as red as my eyes. hers was just a slight pink but her eyes were wide and pupils dilated with a sweat drop.

"Wow over exaggerate much?" the boy I believe mark asked. "but if you are treat my sister right! got it young man?!" mark told me pointing a finger at me in a scolding manner, with his eyes looking like he was ready to kill.

"Yes sir I will treat her right even though she is not my girlfriend!" I said as if I was in the military. where did sir come from?... "BROTHER?!" it took me a couple of minutes to register what he told me. I looked at maka "YOU HAVE A BROTHER?!"

"...um, yeah?" she chuckled nervously then winced in pain.

"Why didn't you tell me Baka?!" I yelled my arms flailing around as if I could fly. I didn't notice she was in pain. I thought she was just wincing to distract me from the fact that she has a brother.

"Maka, are you alright?" may said clearly noticing maka was in pain. She walked over to maka and placed a comforting hand on her back. And her other arm on her side. when she took her hand of she saw blood. mark and I were still arguing too busy to notice.

We hear a thud that catches our attention. May was over a body covered in blood... maka.
