2016/08/09"As far as we know, our parents are...dead," Sunghye said lifelessly. "Well isn't it great to be moping around doing nothing?" Hyorin rolled her eyes. "I guess Hyorin's right. Might as well figure out what's going on." Eunsoo muttered. "Songeun, do you have your camera with you?" Jinhae asked. Songeun nodded and gave Jinhae her camera. Jinhae went to the window and took a picture. "Take a look."
Songeun opened the gallery of the camera and dared a look at the picture.
"what are they?"
"I don't know. Probably none of us here knows. Though, I think this is the North's fault," Eunsoo said through gritted teeth. "Seokie, heard anything from your brother?" Seokie looked up from where she was seated. "Haven't checked my email lately. Is WiFi still up?" Seokie whipped out her phone and checked her email. "There is something from him." Seokie opened the email her brother sent and read it out loud.
Subject: How're you doing
Hey, how're you and the others doing? Me? I'm fine. Just worried. Everyone is getting sick and no one really knows the reason. All the hospitals are full with patients and there's not too much accommodation in the military clinic. I don't know what's going on but I just hope I don't get sick. Please take care of yourself.
"So the North might be the actual cause for this."
Hyorin was fuming in anger.
"Look at their faces..." Sunghye trails off, zooming into the picture in Songeun's phone. "What's that red thing?" Haneul's eyes slightly widened as she questions everyone.
"That's blood." Everyone's gaze darted towards Jinhae. "Don't look at me like that. What are the other possibilities? Food coloring?" She defended herself, shrugging.
"But why would they have...blood near their mouths?" Seokie asks in a hushed tone. She neared the window again and peeked outside. Hyorin follows her, observing the hostiles right outside of the house.
"They look fucking torn." Eunsoo comments at the taken picture. "Weird... What's going in the North? Are these their experiments?" Songeun sits on a nearby couch, sighing. "That's a chance." Sunghye shrugs, closing the curtain right in front of Seokie's and Hyorin's faces, causing the two girls to shoot her a glare.
"Can't risk anything right? What if they saw you both?"
"Let's assume they're experiments... There's a chance that those blood on them are from themselves..." Seokie looks up, in the process of thinking.
"Wait, if they are experiments, they should be contained by now. What time is it, anyway?" Jinhae questions, checking her wrist watch after.
"It's a couple of minutes before 4." Hyorin answers her.
"The houses look empty as fuck." Eunsoo mumbles to herself while looking outside, sighing. The girls finally settled properly in the living room, thinking to themselves. "What if...what if all the people in this neighborhood ended up the same as my parents?" Jinhae sits up from laying down on the floor. Everyone pondered about what she said.
"Let's try turning the TV on. Let's see if there's any info we can pick up." Songeun grabs the remote and presses the right button, thus causing the electronic to come to life.
