My mom decided it was time for me to go back to school, unfortunately. I had been doing makeup work here or there while at home. Reagan or Riley would drop it off, but I knew there was more to come.
Going back to school, it would also be the first time I would enter the school as a boyfriend of Rey Dyke. Even the idea caused loads of questions I was scared to ask. But I knew there were some that I had to talk to Rey about.
The day before I was supposed to go back, I laid in Rey's bed watching him mess with some music on his computer. It truly was interesting watching him fix even the smallest thing I hadn't thought about making the song so much better. But I had to interrupt him.
"Rey?" My voice felt weird but not as weird as my heart. He paused what he was doing and turned around to face me in his desk chair, "Do you, uh, want to be public at school?"
Rey's eyes narrowed a smidge and my stomach dropped, "Barkley, I told you I was willing to go public. Public mean everywhere. Including school."
I nodded lightly, "So, like, am I allowed to walk with you?"
Rey smiles, gets up and crawls onto the bed so he's laying right in front of me, "Of course. I would absolutely love it if you walked with me. Then I can show everyone how lucky I am."
My cheeks heat up, "You're so cheesy."
Rey only leans closer and connects our lips. I smile against them, opening my lips so his tongue could enter. We haven't gone past making out. Haven't even seen each other shirtless. That's why I gasp when I feel his cold hand slip under my shirt.
Rey pulls back, but doesn't move his hand, "What? Is this not okay? We don't have to go any farther-"
I shake my head quickly, "No, no. It just..uh...startled me. I like it."
Rey grins and kisses my nose, "I like it too."
He slowly reattaches his lips to mine, his hand slipping a little farther up my stomach. I shutter, his mouth leaving my own to attach itself on my neck.
I bite my lip to hold in a moan and tilt my chin up and to the side, so he has more access. The feeling of his fluttering over my neck makes my head fuzzy.
I bring my hand up and rake my hand through his dark locks, grabbing a small chunk. My other hand is held against his chest, frozen over the feeling of his hard muscles underneath the cloth of his shirt.
I gasp again when he pulls down the neck of my shirt and bites a small patch of skin on my shoulder, before quickly lapping his tongue over the now red skin. I can't help but think how grateful I am he thought o do it somewhere I can hide easily.
I tug on his hair, lifting his head back to my lips. I love how his breath always has a hint of mint gum. I smile against his lips, a little of my worries flying away.
"So, are you and boy toy going to acknowledge each other today at school?" I scowl at Sheppardfor pulling me out of the pleasant memory as we walk through the student parking lot to the building.
"I don't know, Sheppard, are you and imaginary girl going to acknowledge each other today? Or are you too worried all the real girls will realize you're insane?"
Sheppard rolls his eyes and pushes through the door not holding it open for me. I consider yelling at him as he walks down one of the halls, but decided against it.
I go to my locker, spinning the combination and easing out a rolled up poster I need for first period.
"Hey," I look around my locker door and see Marvin with his hands in his pockets, looking around like he's nervous.
