Finally, as the last noble in front of Perseus bowed at the waist and backed away from her majesty, Percy stepped forward. As he reaches a spot about two meters from the Queen he bowed low, dropped to one knee and bowed his head. He waited for permission to rise. When it was given, Percy raised he head to gaze upon the dress the Queen wore, it was beautiful.

As he continues to rise, his gaze reached her face and his breath was taken away or the second time. She was beautiful. Her hair was tied up in a braided bun at the back of her head. Her flawless skin shone with light coming through the stained glass windows. She was smaller than he was by a considerable amount. Her dress had a dark purple and green pattern signifying her royalty. The dress rose around her, spiralling into a high neck showing as little skin as possible, clean white gloves with a shimmering snowflake pattern adorned her hands.

"Are you ready milady? You did promise." Perseus unsuccessfully tried to suppress his oncoming smirk.

Obvious to the face he was making , the Queen smiled at him, " Absolutely my Prince."

Perseus took Queen Elsa of Arrendale's hand and led her out to the center of the dance floor. Her dress swaying hypnotically in time with her strides.

When they reached the center of the floor, Perseus turned to face the Queen and the music that had been playing softly for the rest of the guests stopped. There were a few seconds of silence before the music started up once again, this time a lively, fast paced beat.

Perseus panicked for a moment before he recognized the dance as one he had grown up learning. He had to hold back a laugh as he thought about the mid dance section where the entire point of what you were doing was to be as provocative as possible.

Almost painfully slowly, Perseus and Elsa strode towards each other. Their right hands met and the slowly sped up their pace as they circled each other.

As they reached a pace where they would have to run to go any faster, they broke apart, spinning away from one another. With a snap, they stopped, and quickly swaggered back towards each other. They swayed their hips and torsos dramatically, hands and arms stretched out to their sides. When they drew together again, they shook their torsos and leaned back and forth towards each other.

Their dance continued for a long while, until Perseus could feel his chest heaving from exhaustion. He was astounded that the queen of Arrendale, someone who he was sure hadn't had much excercize throughout her life, could keep up with him and match him step for step.

On and on the dance seemed to continue, swirls and twirls followed by leaps and crouches, Perseus's heartbeat was becoming erratic and his normally well controlled and hidden emotions were proudly displayed on his face in a massive, ear-to-ear grin.

The song eventually picked up speed even more until he was sure that even if the musicians tried, they wouldn't be able to go any faster, and reached the climax. Then finally, the song came to it's abrupt end. The two dances side by side, facing opposite directions with left hands meeting in the middle.

Applause met their ears as they calmed from the exhilaration of the dance.

Elsa grabbed two champagnes from a passing servant and offered one to Perseus who gladly took the refreshing beverage. He downed it quickly and grabbed another, taking his time with the second.

"You dance well for someone from a country with a reputation such as yours." Elsa mockingly jabbed at him.

"Not bad yourself your majesty," Perseus shot back, "I have yet to meet someone so adept at that dance as yourself!"

"I am flattered," Elsa laughed gently. She had a beautiful laugh.

"Your majesty?" Perseus jumped slightly at the unexpected intrusion to their conversation. He was mildly annoyed but figured the queen was a busy woman and people always needed her input.

"Anna!" Elsa exclaimed, "What is it?"

Perseus's eyes widened slightly but he bowed to the young princess.

"I'd like to introduce you to someone I met today, this is Prince Hans of the Southern Isles," She sounded really excited, then paused as if waiting for something.

"We would like your blessing," Her partner, Prince Hans, sounded really excitable and happy.

"For our marriage!" They finished in sinc with each other.

"What?!?"Elsa exclaimed as Perseus's mouth dropped open.

"I know right?"

"No!" Elsa exclaimed, "No, you can't marry someone you just met today!"

"Well, we weren't asking permission," Anna snapped, then continued in a pleading voice, "Is that a no?"

"No!" Then to her attendant who had stealthily snuck up on them after their dance, "Close the gates, this party's over."

"With all due respect your majesty," Perseus started,

"No, just, no."

"Elsa!" Anna cried, obviously trying to hold back tears, "I can't live like this anymore! I love you! I can't let you go back to how we were before!" This peaked Perseus's interested, but he held back, not wanting to interfere in something personal.

"What do you know about love?" Elsa snarled so fiercely Perseus backed up quickly. Anna on the other hand lunged forward and grabbed onto Elsa's hand, tearing her glove off.

The reaction was instantaneous, Elsa whipped around with a look of absolute terror plastered on her face. Her eyes were wild like a cornered animal, her bare hand was held tight to her chest, her hands skin was a stark contrast on her already very pale skin. It was white unlike anything he had ever seen before, like clean, freshly fallen snow.

"Give it back!"

"Elsa," Anna's voice was pleading.

"This party is over, everybody leave," Elsa was quickly backing away, then she whirled around and quickly strode away.

"No, Elsa! I know more than you about love. All you know is how to shut people out!" Anna shouted the last part.

"Enough!" Elsa whirled around, her bare hand shooting out and a stream of cold air shot from her open palm, exploding into icy stalagmites as it hit the ground.

Perseus reacted as fast as he could, his own hands whipping out and subtly redirecting all the spires of ice so that they wouldn't hit anybody. He was so busy making sure no one else was hit he neglected to protect himself.

A spire of ice shot through his shoulder like it was nothing and Perseus's last thought before he passed out,

She's like me...
