Chapter 4

"Well, this is your stop." Jeongguk said, gesturing to the wooden door. Lalisa turned to him, a sincere smile on her face. "Thank you for walking me home, without you I probably would've been mugged." She said jokingly. Guk chuckled, admiring her up close.

She reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close. It was a little difficult considering he was taller than her, but it wasn't at all awkward.

His arms were wrapped around her waist, and he was glad she couldn't see his face. Because otherwise, she'd be able to see the deep red blush that covered his face.

Suddenly, the door to Lisa's apartment was pulled open. Lisa pulled away from Jeongguk and stepped away. She wouldn't want her friends thinking she had a crush on him. Right?

He looked up and saw Lisa's roommate, Jennie, standing in the doorway with a smirk on her face. He wondered if she'd seen what they were doing a few moments ago, but all his anxiety melted away when she held her hand out to him.

"I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you yet, but little Lalisa here talks so much about you! I'm Jennie Kim!" She said enthusiastically, gently tucking a stray piece of her hair behind her ear using her free hand.

Guk nodded politely as he took her small hand in his, shaking it gently. He'd read somewhere in a chic magazine that females don't like when you're aggressive towards them.

"I'm Jeongguk, but you already knew that," he replied uneasily, slowly retracting his hand back into his sweatshirt pocket.

This time it was Jennie's turn to nod politely. She looked like she had more to say, but as her eyes drifted over to Lisa, she'd noticed the tinge of pink that had started to creep onto her cheeks.

As Jeongguk looked around the bland hallway, he could see the two roommates mouthing something to each other out of the corner of his eye.

Jennie stepped out of the doorway, closing the door behind her until only a small slit of light could escape from the apartment.

"I was just heading over to Taehyung's apartment! Catch you guys later!" Jennie exclaimed, jogging to the stairwell before disappearing from their view.

Lisa and Jeongguk stared at each other awkwardly for a moment before an idea popped into the orange haired girl's head.

"Want to see my room?"
