-Kyris POV-

I stood carefully, not wanting to startle the great beasts. Alec started to stand as well, but I gave him a look that told him to stay down. He must have gotten the message, because he got back down. I slowly walked to the herd and called to their souls, calming them and asking them to send their lead mare and stallion. Both horses came and sniffed at me, seeming satisfied the lowered their heads and nuzzled the palms of my hands. I scratched the stallion behind the ear and sent a mental picture of him being my partner. I started to walk to Alec, knowing the horses were following behind. He stood slowly and walked to the mare. She seemed hesitant but sniffed at him and snorted. I asked her to please carry him and she obliged, nudging his shoulder. I stroked the stallions mane one more time before taking a few steps back and leaping on him. He squirmed a bit but other than that he seemed comfortable. He looked at me, asking a silent question, what do I do now? I laughed a little and said "Hop on doofus! They're letting us ride them." He looked at me, then the horse. Hesitantly, he leapt onto the mare and settled, looking uncomfortable. "You sure she won't throw me off?" He asked, not looking at me but at the horse. I laughed though me nose and said "No, she won't. Not unless you push to hard after a warning." And before he could respond, I kicked the stallion into a gallop.

~Alec~
I watched as Kyris rode off on her black stallion, then looked at my mare. I took a deep breath and kicked her into gallop after Kyris. It was exhilarating. A wild beast under me, and no limits. Sadly, we came to the carriage and continued our journey to the central kingdom.
Five hours later, we made camp in a clearing in a forest, which was about a day away from the central kingdom. I watched as the guards made the fire and got ready to hunt. I looked around for my side kick to find her getting ready with the hunters. Was she hunting with them? Yet she is a beast tamer? I stood up and asked her just that, "I may be a beast tamer, but I do what I need to survive." She responded, putting her black and white hair into a high ponytail and then put a quiver full of arrows around her back, as well as two hunting knives. Her stormy eyes finally landed on me as she raised a single eyebrow "Can I go now?"  I have her a look, and off she went.
