Chapter 12: The doctor

We sit in my living room playing "Left for dead" as I absorb what happened at the store earlier. I never truly believed Sasuke loved me until earlier.

I stare at him then smile while yawning. "Are you tired?" He asks looking at the clock on the wall that reads 12:30 am. I nod and sit on his lap wrapping my arms around his neck.

He blushes slightly,and cradles me to take me to my room, lays me gently in bed putting the covers over me, then starts to walk away.

"Wait," I assert. He stops but doesn't turn towards me. "come with me."

"I will, don't worry." he promises. "I just need to be alone for a while.

"Oh, uh, I-I'll be waiting."

"I love you Naruto.Now go to sleep." He says then walks out.

"I love you too." I whisper.

...

I look in his fridge to grab a water then walk outside to my car and get my pills. I hate this. I take all 15, go back inside, turn off Naruto's x box, and look through his cabinets. No liquor, I should've expected that. I double check then give up walking back to Naruto's room wistfully.

The moon illuminates his face, he looks departed but blithe and undisturbed like an angel. Naruto, my angel.

...

I wake up to see Sasuke sleeping, I kiss his cold lips then inch across him smoothly so I don't awake him.

I tip-toe to the kitchen to see a bottle of water on the counter. It must be Sasuke's, I take a drink then go back to the room, but see him on the floor in a ball clutching his stomach.

I pick him up open the door, rush him to the car, and drive off to the hospital. When we get in, Doctors rush up and bring a table that I lay him on and push him into the e.r.

"What happened?" A nurse asks me as she holds my chest keeping me from going any further.

"I got up to get water then come back to see him on the floor."

"Does he have any medical conditions, or pills that could cause this?" She writes on a clipboard she has.

"Yes, about 15 pills." She glares at me.

"Are you his brother, friend?" she asks as I rub my neck.

"Uh, no."

"Cousin?" she asks.

"B-boyfriend," I stutter. She glares at me again then continues to write.

"Just wait here," she demands and walks off briskly.

I sit in the chair closest to the e.r. room and wait about two hours before the doctor comes out.

He is tall with round black glasses, deep brown eyes, fair skin, and grey hair, though he seems to be in his early Thirties. "Are you Naruto Uzumaki?"

"Yes!" I exclaim.

He shakes my hand "I'm Dr.Kabuto, Mr.Uchiha will be fine, he just seemed to have an episode. He will be okay to go home today however, I need you to be very careful with him, and if he ever has another attack shoot him with one of these." He pulls out a small clear tube with light blue liquid out of a small white bag, he puts the shot back in the bag then hands it to me. "Shoot it up his arm or leg."

"Thank you." I say sincerely.

"Wait here he will be out in just a few minutes." Then he walks through the white doors with Dr.Kabuto. I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck tightly. "Sasuke," I hold back tears.

"Get off me dobe," I let go and look down blushing, he then hugs me tight.

"Remember what I said Naruto," Dr. Kabuto smiled.

"Thank you so much!" I exclaim, then Sasuke and I leave the hospital.

As I'm driving Sasuke stares out the window."Where are we going?" He asks.

"On a real date." I exclaim.

"Where?"

"Somewhere you may not enjoy." I laugh.
