Chapter 14: First date

Payu was waiting for Rajath to pick her up.  He came on time and  made a sad face.  Pinky and her mother were sitting on the swing and enjoying the  evening that was turning into a silent 🌃 night. 

Payu was wearing the gifted dress by Rajath since evening and she didn't change it.  Rajath was talking something to Pinky and he ran towards Payu.  He hugged her tight and it was an open chance that he took in front of Pinky. 

Go with him Payu,  Rajath told me everything; Pinky gave a green signal.

Payu made a face as if she was not knowing anything.

It will rain beta, go carefully and wear your wind Sheeter , Mummy adviced.

Payu and Rajath sat in the car 🚗.  It was a Red Nano car and owned by Rajath. She was happy that her would be is from well to do family and not like a film where the hero is poor and heroine has to adjust with the poverty around.  She was feeling blessed.

They were going by the forest road and it was dark. Payu was scared and it started pouring heavily.

Rajath was driving slow as he was with his first love.  He could not risk her life now. He was madly in love with her.  Payu was singing the 1947 song :

It was her favourite song.  The car stuck in the muddle with the end of the song. 

Payu sat on the driving seat and Rajath pushed the car.  The break failed and the car hit on the tree. Rajath was scared as Payu was unconscious. He pulled her out of the car and walked as fast as they could and reached the main road. He was
carrying her like a baby on his shoulders. 

The first date was a disaster.  Payu gained consciousness on the way but she was pretending to be unconscious (behoosh). Her hands were hurting badly...  She was making baby kind of cry and Rajath kissed her forehead. She was smiling with his peck. He slowly called:

Payu ...Payal.... Sweet Heart ♥

She made a small Hmmm sound but did not open her eyes.  Rajath was finding it difficult to carry her as she was a bit overweight.

He took an Auto and he decided to call Pinky but all their plans will be flop so  calmed his mind . There were just bruises on her hands and her elbow was swollen.  They reached hospital.
Payu had a fracture and she was alright. Rajath thanked God that nothing bad happened with them.  They went to a ice cream parlour to chill from the hospital. 

Rajath bought Black Currant ice cream with Oreo for her.  They licked eachother's ice cream and Rajath licked the cream on Payu's nose tip.  Her hands were paining but heart was rejoicing. 

Rajath hugged her tight and said :

God forbid, if something bad would have happened...

I would have forgotten you after a month or so but the World of Pinky and Sunil would have been shattered.  They would not have forgiven me.

Payu punched him with her right hand and playfully asked: "Who will clean my Aashan,  after the Nature call. My left side is paining badly and right has fractured badly. Who will feed me."

You are a naughty girl,  Rajath hit his forehead on her and kissed her eyes.

Both laughed till their stomach hurt. They took an Auto to  Rajath's friends house.  They were given warm welcome by Asha aunty.  Asha aunty and Rajath had  met during the morning walk at Willow park and she was a single business woman. She was into furnishings and Rajath worked with her in events.  The hot Chinese food offered by Asha soothed Payu and  aunty gave her clothes to change. She helped her to change and Payu felt Asha aunty is a lovely lady.  She took the medication and she was giddy.  She called up mom but she did not respond.
