Chapter One: Concealed Emotions

Narration~
One autumn's day in the city of Ninjago, our fellow ninja have been doing their normal routines, Jay, Cole, and Zane playing some video games, Nya working on fixing the Destiny's Bounty, Sensei Wu organizing the different scrolls, Kai was out on the training course practicing some new fighting techniques, and Lloyd was in his room listening to some music. Kai and Lloyd had been friends for a few years now, but Lloyd had felt something he hadn't felt before. He was feeling affection for someone. And that someone was none other than Kai. Lloyd had kept these feelings hidden away from everyone else, especially Kai. He didn't know how none of them would react if he told someone about his feelings, so he kept them to himself. But little did Lloyd know, was that Kai had the same affection towards him as well.

Lloyd's Point of View~
I was in my room, lying on my bed and listening to music. It was nice and soft, like an orchestra playing an angelic melody in Heaven. I felt as if I was in a completely different world. I felt free, like there was nothing holding me back. But there was one thought that continued to bang on the sides of my head, that thought always made me snap out of my daydreaming and brought me back to reality. That thought was Kai. I've known Kai ever since I was a kid, and when I grew older, my feelings about him changed. I felt as if we more than just friends or allies. I could feel my face heat up a bit and my cheeks turn red as I thought more about him. "I've gotta tell Kai how I feel about him. But what if he doesn't share the same feelings about me as I do to him? What if he thinks of me as a freak? Will I just make a huge fool out of myself if I do and he just ignores me?" I told myself quietly. Just thinking about those things made me nervous. For the past couple of days, I've been getting unexpected headaches and Zane says that they're most likely caused by stress and I guess that it's true since all I ever mostly do is think about Kai and his reaction if I told him how I feel. "Just calm down Lloyd, relax okay. Breathe in and out." I told myself. And that's exactly what I did. I began to breathe slowly, in and out. I managed to calm myself down, but I couldn't get Kai out of my head. I sat up and looked over to my right and saw a photo of me and the others. I was still a kid when it was taken. I stared at it and smiled a bit. I got up from my bed and grabbed the photo. "Do you feel what I feel? Do...do you need me?" I asked Kai's picture. Without really noticing it, I began to sing.

"Na Na, Na Na Na Na. Na Na, Na, na. I like your smile. I like your vibe. I like your style. But that's not why I love you. And I, I like the way you're such a star. But that's not why I love you. I smiled and thought, That's why I do love you, Kai. For being you. I went back to my bed and sat down. I felt the sun beam down upon my face, it was nice. I laid back down and slowly, sleep began to cloud my mind and I soon drifted off into a nice slumber.
