"(Y/N)?"

"...(Y/N), dear, wake up"

I open my eyes and sit up, "hm?" I turn my head to Wilford. He gestures out the front window, "We're here" He tells me. I follow his gaze and look at the big house in front of us. "Oh wow" I mumble to myself.

"What?" Wilford asks be as he gets out. I look at him, "I wasn't expecting a house such as this one" I admit as I unbuckle my seatbelt and get out of the car too. We walk to the front door together. Wilford knocks the door since I'm too busy looking up at the majestic house. There's a dark forest covered in snow all around us. Small snowflakes slowly fall onto the house, as well as on me.

Immediately after Wilford knocks, the doors open creepily slow, squeaking softly before they stop moving when they're all the way open. I look up at Wilford and take his hand before we both step into the house and look around.

"Father?" Wilford asks before a silence falls over the both of us. The doors behind us close with some creaking. I notice the crackling sounds of wood from the fireplace before I swallow thickly, glancing at Wilford, not really knowing what to do.

"Father, it's me, William" Wilford says again, looking up at the stairs, waiting for an answer. And then finally, "Son" A deep voice calls out from somewhere upstairs. I look up to see a man very similar to Wilford.

I recognize a cane he's holding, reminding me of the limp he had like I was told. Sharp fangs stand out as Wilford the First grins a toothy grin down at the both of us. He puts on his monocle to take a better look at us as he takes his time to walk down the stairs.

"So great to see you again, my son" He says as he pats Wilford's shoulder when he finally reaches to the bottom of the stairs. I don't hear Wilford answer, just an awkward, unsure chuckle. "And this is the beautiful wife I keep hearing about?" He smirks handsomely at me. I smile shyly before hearing Wilford mumble to himself, "we barely even talk..." Making his father look irritated at him.

Wilford the First gently takes my hand and places a gentle kiss on it, "Wilford the First, m'lady" He says with that toothy grin again. I glance at his fangs and back up at his eyes, which are the exact same as William's. "(Y/N)" I answer with a sweet smile, "Pleasure to meet you, sir" I say politely. "Oh the pleasure is all mine, dear" He says before standing straight again after releasing my hand.

"Now come! Let us feast and toast on this memorable meeting of a delightful little family!" Wilford the First says cheerful before turning around and walking to another room through a wide doorway without a door. I notice he doesn't walk any different than anyone else. I smile up at my Wilford, getting excited from his father's excitement. His excitement reminds me of my Wilford when I met him, or when he gets excited about something himself. It always cheers me up.

But when I look up at Will, I don't see him smiling. He looks down at me with a neutral face. No, it's more disappointed and irritated than neutral. My smile turns slightly more into a frown before I gently nudge him, "C'mon, Will...it's gonna be fun!" I tell him. I get nothing but a grunt from him before we walk after his father, hand in hand.

Together, we walk into a room with a long table for at least twenty people, but I only see three chairs. One at the head of the table, one at the other, and one chair in the middle of the table on the right side. The table is full of delicious food from corner to corner. There are no lamps, just candles. Above us is a giant chandelier with candles all over, all of them being lit. On the table also are a few candles. The room is filled with the warmth from the fireplace, along with the sound of crackling wood and the smell of fresh cooked meals.

"Oh wow" I smile bright as I look at the table. Wilford the First smiles bright at me, pulling out a chair, "have a seat, (Y/N)" He tells me with a polite smile. I feel a small squeeze form Wilford's hand in mine before I release it and walk over to his father and take a seat, "Thank you, sir" I tell him. "Such a polite lady" He smiles down at me before he walks to the head of the table.

"come have a seat, boy" Wilford the First tells his son, having a stern look on his face. I glance over to my Wilford and watch him walk to the other head of the table and sit down.

"Edgar?!" Wilford the First yells, glancing towards a closed door, which is being opened by someone. A man with a green-ish skin tone walks out with a wine bottle in his hand. He stumbles towards the table, reminding me of a bit of a zombie walk. I glance the man up and down, slightly confused. Was this an act, or did this man actually need a cane to walk better?

"This, dear (Y/N)" Wilford the First starts, "Is Edgar! Our dear friend and loyal server, always has been...for a few years now, actually!" He explains. I glance at William after I hear some amused chuckles coming from him. For the first time today I see a genuine smile on his face.

"Edgar! How are you?" William asks. Edgar pours the three of us a glass of wine. "I've been great, what about you, Will?" he asks. I don't really like wine, but I'll just try to drink it anyway. "Absolutely wonderful as you can see" I snap out of my thoughts and glance at my Wilford who's gesturing towards me. I smile shyly, glancing back at Edgar, hearing some chuckles form Wilford the First.

"We'll talk later! First get us our meal, Edgar! These two have been traveling for a while now, I think they're ready for something great to eat! Not any fast food garbage that destroys your body from within, starting in the veins and the heart" Wilford the First says. I look at William, being just in time to see him rolling his eyes.

Edgar already has disappeared again, back into the door he came from, leading to the kitchen. A little later, the three of us are enjoying a delicious meal, prepared by Edgar. I'll ask about his skin color later. Sounds racist, but he seems green. Not make-up green, not nauseous green, but dirty green.
