I'm welcoming you back to this peculiar story. We are closing up to the conclusions of all these mysteries, perhaps you already guessed some? I hope you enjoy this chapter !!!!
Hoseoks pov. Never let you go
Christmas day. So many Christmases had passed since he last saw them.
Hoseok pulled himself up on one elbow to watch the sleeping Jimin, happily hugging the Chimmy pillow he brought him for Christmas. He had saved a bunch and they had one each. Jimin had been sitting beside him talking , and Hoseok always being on the sleepy side, fell asleep . But this was early morning, his favourite hour.He couldn't really sort out his feelings. He had an advantage in time, he knew much more about them than the other way round. Holly had kept him informed from the moment they found them. He knew they were out there, but had small hopes of getting them back. It was never in his jurisdiction.
Since Ae Ra died he had been busy keeping track of both Park, Grant and of course Holler.
Through his son Yoongi ( yes, there was never any doubt of that name), he had learned a great deal and contributed with his own memories. The same memories that kept him awake for years to come. Even after he married Ae Ra they kept on, but she helped him through it , being the wise person he loved.Hoseok looked around in the room,so unlike their old dorm room. His heart was aching when the thought of reality hit him. He was old, they were not. It was as if he had been thrown through a screen, right into a Run episode or Vlive. Their lives had come to a dead stop , his hadn't. He couldn't take part like he used to. He was physically in rather good shape, the years had brought great improvements for people's health and welfare.
But his mind was older, so many tiresome, sad but still wonderful years he had spent without them. Not a day without worries and prayers for them, once he realized the truth. It took several years before he knew anything at all, waking up in a hospital bed with amnesia. Ae Ra was his nurse, guide and light for 2 years before they married.
His constant nightmares made her suspicious and she started an investigation, only to find restrictions and removed files. Her husband was classified material and only way to get him out was to keep his new identity and pretend the amnesia was permanent.Jimin moved in his sleep, he started talking " no, where's Hope, have you got him hyung? Hope, Hoseok, Hoseok!!!!! Nooooo!!!!!!!" He sat right up, panting and trembling.
Hoseok took one quick stride and embraced his dongsaeng tenderly, kissing his hair and whispering soothingly, just like he had done so many times before. Eventually Jimin calmed down, lying down in his lap, facing up.
" You're old and grey, but it's you all the same. I missed you so, I cried so much. We thought you were dead, Sugahyung was........half. Half. " His already swollen, beautiful eyes filled up again. Sobbing helplessly.Hoseok cried too. He was sad, happy, confused, angry, tired and still, he felt like coming home. A warm, comfortable feeling. He would never leave them again. Not for a minute. Life had been taken from him and given back. It was a blessing.
But the story didn't end here, it had just began.Hollys pov. Euphoria.
Awkward. That was the general feeling. Seeing her grandpa with that glimpse in his eye, ah, that ....Not that they didn't appreciate it, quite the contrary but....after that kiss.
Falling asleep by his side made her feel more comfortable than in a very long time.
She preferred not to think about his background, she had spent sleepless nights thinking about how awkward it was to date her grandfather's best friend. Basically he was older than her grandfather, oh crap, it was absolutely impossible to make head or tail of it.
Seeing him this Christmas, she just let go . Why even try, the situation was quite impossible anyway. So what. Never mind. She couldn't hold back, he was the centre of her life, unprecedented . She might be endangering her position but she didn't care.Yoongi slept in a bunch, sheets and pillows around him. He looked so calm.
She leaned over him to kiss his messy hair only to find herself pulled in.
" Not breakfast yet, merry Christmas Holly" he murmured and dived deep into sleep again. Holly wasn't sleepy , she just wanted to stay in the moment. All she ever wanted was right in front of her. It was too good to be true , yet there he was.
It was Christmas morning, their first but hopefully not their last.Authors pov.
Holler was beside himself. The response to the headlines and interview was amazing.
His image was more shared than that of the holy infant, only fair according to Holler.
A Christmas present to his liking was the early morning ceremony, disabling Singular for eternity. Only problem was that they needed so badly the structure and circuits that made Singular outstanding. The other one, his sibling or how you would put it, a unit called Cellular, had suffered a final dismantling facing the event on Px47.Holler was pleased to know that the microchip was still intact in Singulars internal.
It was classified material, for military eyes only, but Holler was a man of means and knew there was a price tag on everything and everyone. His best Christmas gift ever was the chip laying safely in his pocket. He felt almost euphoric, they had no chance to trace him, no chance to air the truth. What a Christmas, he felt almost religious and wondered whether he should make a generous donation to the Catholic shelters downtown.
However, they could sell off some golden trinkets, but it would be better for his image to donate. So he did. After all, it was Christmas!Namjoon was the first to see the headlines from the day before. Taehyung came rushing in, seeming nervous and upset. He somehow knew already, strangely enough.
" Namjoonhyung, he told me everything. No no, not everything. There are secrets on the chip. I've seen our funeral hyung, your brother, it was a fire."
Namjoon took his hands and calmed him down. His heart was pounding wildly.
" Calm down Taehyungie, sit here with me. Is this about Singular? " Namjoon put his arm around the slender figure of his dongsaeng, he tried to breathe normally.
A fire? How so? The notes he had seen spoke of defection , not fire. How many truths was there?
Taehyung took up a small box from his pocket. Inside was a small shimmering microchip. The one Singular gave him.
" Its not for us to see, I'm giving it to Hobihyung, ajeoshi, ah, it's so weird. I'm going in there now, come with me hyung!" He held the box with the micro chip like it was heavier than led.
" Its Christmas day...."
" He's waiting for it, he knows. Singular told me, he must have it hyung, he knows the mystery".
Namjoon sighed and tied his robe around him. They went over and knocked at Jimins door. Jimin opened but Hoseok rushed up, he looked all pale.
" Have you got it Tae Tae? Please give it to me, this can start wars and crush empires.
I need to see what's on it, let's wake the others. "
*********************************************************************************Shivering with anticipation Holler loaded the microchip and sat down to watch. This was his ticket out, his only safe haven, the proof everybody would die to have, the only thing that could keep him out of jail, ha! Triumphantly, he started........
" Noooooooo, what the hell.........What the hell .......what..............!!!!!!??????"
Hollers face was alarmingly red, his chest was heaving heavily, sweat breaking out on his forehead..........
" They're going to pay for this.............." he wheezed.......A/N
