Chapter eight | anchor
Hope had wandered into the woods after the argument with her family, the stress of the house being too much so the tribrid found herself finding peace and quiet in the woods. Hope stared down at the bright reflection of the moon floating on the water, frowning in confusion as it flickered to the boy who appeared in her room last night.
"Are you sure she's here?" Kol questioned as he and Isaac walked along the trail, Isaac nodded picking up her scent "The woods is like her personal hideaway."
Isaac was the first person to come to mind when Kol couldn't find Hope, the pair had been searching for Hope for a long while, eventually Isaac figuring out where she must be.
Hope felt herself stepping towards the water as darkness crept up around her, water soaking her boots as she knelt down to touch the water, jumping back as the reflection disappeared. Hope looked around to her surroundings, taking a deep breath as she stepped further into the water.
"What?" Kol looked to Isaac in confusion as Isaac's gaze snapped in the direction of the lake, shouting out at the sight of his nieces hair floating away from the surface "Hope!"
Kol and Isaac sprinted in the direction of the lake as Hope swam down at the sight of the blonde, trying to reach him but he kept getting further and further away, Hope's vision fading as she finally caught up with him, grabbing onto his arm. Hope screamed out in pain as a shock hit her body, watching the boy dissolve into nothing as arms grabbed onto her waist, pulling her up to the surface.
"Let me go!" Hope cried out, trying to pull out of their arms "He's in there, he's in there!"
Isaac and Kol shared a glance, "Who's in there, Hope?"
"I almost did it." Hope mumbled to herself, leaning against the grass taking deep breaths "I almost found him."
"Yeah, it took nearly killing you in the process!" Kol argued protectively, "Whatever this is, its not worth doing this to yourself!"
"They need my help!" Hope exclaimed, watching the water in hope's of the boy coming back.
"How do you know that, huh?" Kol asked her, turning Hope to face him "Did they ask for your help? No, they didn't."
"They're dead, Hope." Isaac sighed, finally realising what was going on with Hope "You can't do anything."
Hope shook her head, shaking in her wet clothes "I can, i can bring them back."
