New years evening. He and Jungkook had on nice, but casual clothing on.

"Are you sure the pupsitter is good?" he asked biting his thumb.

"Promise. Let's just have fun," Jungkook said kissing the top of his head.

"I don't even drink that much," he chuckled.

"Its okay," the alpha said picking him up off his feet. "There is gonna be so many people here it won't matter,"

True to his word a hundred or more people were jam-packed into his home. He even had a disco ball for the dance floor. Namjoon feeling uncomfortable made his way to the stairs which was off limits to partiers.

"Oh Joonie," Jungkook said walking down the steps sober. He pulled him into a quick hug pecking his lips and smiling down at him.

"Is it too much?" he asked.

Joon shrugged "It's not my speed, but I'm not gonna stop you from having a good time," he intertwined their fingers.

"Let me try to make it better, I promise to not leave you?" he asked running fingers along his scalp on the dim stairs.

"Ok," the omega replied letting himself be taken back to the party. The flashing lights taking him back to the days he worked at the strip club making him uncomfortable, but Jungkook was having a good time so he would too.

"You don't have to dance if you don't want to," Jungkook said pulling him into the kitchen. He was an adult this seemed like a teen party.

"Okay, um can you get me something light to drink?" he asked. Jungkook chuckled and brought him a drink that had the smallest amount of alcohol in it.

"Here ya go babe," Jungkook kissed his forehead and taking his cheeks in his hands kissing his mouth deeply.

"Jungkook?" the alpha jerked away looking up at an elderly woman that did not look happy.

"Uh hey mom," he replied smiling showing his perfect teeth; she didn't seem impressed. Partiers were dancing all around and she wore a scowl.

"Son," a man said catching their attention he smiled not knowing what was the matter with his wife. The elderly woman leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"Jungkook come on," his father catching his sleeve. Now sporting the same soured face as his mother.

"Wait, mom, dad, this is Namjoon," he said introducing him. He forced a smile and a small wave.

"Come on, Jungkook, privately," she said dragging them up the house to a quieter room.

"Jungkook, I'm not happy," Mr. Jeon snapped as soon as he slammed the door shut behind the omega.

"Your godfather is on his way here too," his mother said. Namjoon flinched and cowered down looking at the hardwood floors.

"What a slutty omega," she said. Jungkook reached for Namjoon's hand and stepping in front of him as if he could shield him from the harsh words.

"He's not, mom. I want him to be my mate," Jungkook defended.

"No," Mr. Jeon suddenly said "I can not allow it,"

The door flew open and in came the alpha that had haunted Namjoon's dreams for the past month.

"Tell them they are being ridiculous, I can love who I want," Jungkook asked of his godfather.

"Jungkook, listen to your parents," he said. When everyone turned from him he winked at Joon making his skin crawl. The bastard was getting everything he wanted.

"He has two pups and isn't marked... let alone a male," His father said.

"Dad, I love him. And those pups are the most precious things to me," he said nearly tearing up. Namjoon buried his head into the alpha's back crying.

"No, I will not allow my heir to make a mockery out of our business," his mother shouted "its unacceptable Jungkook,"

"I'm not leaving him," Jungkook firmly stated.

"Jungkook think rationally, other companies may see you as soft. Leave him for the sake of the company or you can leave and your godbrother can run it," his dad gave him the ultimatum.

The parents left the room angered before his mother gave her son a hug and whispered in his ear "you have 24 hours," it was quiet enough that no one except the alpha heard him.

After the door shut Jungkook turned to the omega and kissed his forehead.

"Jungkook," his godfather captured his attention "you fucked up," a wicked grin appeared on his face.

Namjoon softly shook his head looking him straight in the eyes. "What do you mean?" he snapped "I love him,"

"I threatened him to make you love him," he said. Jungkook looked confused looking down at Joon who was crying harder "I tried to tell you,"

"Why?" he asked his uncle then stepping back from the crying omega his hands barely holding his shoulders.

"I wanted the empire,"

"He th-threatened the pups, I love you," Joon gasped.

"You used me to save your own skin?"

"He did," his godfather said.

"Wait," Jungkook closed his eyes. "You won't get the empire," he released the omega and walked up to the man punching him hard in the face. He fell over blacking out.

"Juh Jungkook," Namjoon cried walking towards him "I love you. But I-I had to protect them," he gasped for air snot running down his face.

"Get off me," Jungkook sternly said "go home and forget my number," he walked past him.

"But, but the p-p-pups, you're their dad," Namjoon shrieked not caring that he was ugly crying because it felt like his earth was shattering.

"You never let me mark you and now I know why. You really were just a slut," Jungkook shouted "you know I really loved you," he said in a softer tone.

"I nuh never ever lied about loving you," Namjoon cried.

"Then why didn't you fucking tell me?" he growled pushing the omega out of the room and dragging him by his arm leaving bruises.

"I t-tried," he sobbed trying to stop the alpha from dragging him out of the house. Just to wait.

"Leave and don't come back," Jungkook snapped. "I'll take care of him make sure he doesn't hurt the pups," he said pushing him out onto the lawn where many people were still partying.

"Nuh-no please, Kookie, I love you," he clutched the alpha's jacket.

"Goodbye," Jungkook said pushing him off and walking away.

Namjoon sobbed as he tumbled into the grass. He staggered to his feet watching the alpha walk away.

His heart shattered and it only cut him deeper because it was his fault.
