"Draco... A-Are you alright?" Pansy asked nervously. When she woke up and came down stairs, Draco was sitting on one of the Slytherin green sofas... Smiling.
"I'm fine. Why do you ask?" he said simply.
"Well... For one, y-you're smiling like an idiot. Are you sure you're alright?" Draco looked at her and then sighed. He stopped smiling. Well, tried. Suddenly it was back and he laughed a little to himself. "What the hell, Draco! When are you going to tell me what is up?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"I don't care; I want to know!"
"Nope."
"Yes! Tell me now!"
"Fine..."
"Really?"
"Hmm... No." And with that Draco stood up, grabbed his books, and went to the Great Hall.
The blonde took his usual seat, but instead of eating first, he searched for his brunette friend. They locked eyes from across the room, smiled, and then began getting their plates of food.
As Hermione and Ron made their through the halls, they ran into - almost literally - Pansy Parkinson. The girl looked worried about something and, unlike usual, didn't say anything rude to the Gryfindors. After a quick and quiet apology, the couple walked off.
"W-wait!" Pansy called. Hermione turned on her heel to look at the girl. "U-uhm... I..." She fiddled her hands nervously.
"Parkinson, is something wrong?" Hermione stepped closer to put her hand against Pansy's forehead. The Slytherin girl stepped back and laughed nervously.
"No, no, I'm fine. I was going to ask you something. I have a theory a-about something," she said.
"What is it?"
"Was Potter out last night?" Hermione knew what she was saying.
"Yes... He was... Why?"
"Draco was smiling like an idiot this morning an-"
"Draco Malfoy can smile?!" Ron exclaimed. Hermione slapped his arm quickly.
"He looked like he'd slept in a broom closet or something," Pansy continued. "I just didn't know if he had gotten in another fight with Potter last night."
"To be honest with you, I think quite the opposite happened," Hermione said.
"What do you mean, Granger?"
"Harry smelled like mint and oranges this morning. Is that at all familiar to you?"
"Why in the world-" And at that moment, Harry and Draco came walking down the corridor together. Everyone looked from one to the other. "Th-that's why... I guess."
The boys were completely confused and awkwardly stood there. "Uhm, nice to see you all this morning...?" Draco said. It was more of a question than an actual statement.
"Well this is weird," Ron said. "When did this happen?"
"Last night, idiot!" Hermione said, smiling. "You two solved everything last night, right?"
"Uhm...yeah?" Harry said, looking to Draco. The blonde nodded. As more voices came closer, the boys grabbed their friends and ran off. If they were seen together they would surely never hear the end of it.

In their potions class, Draco and Harry sat beside each other. Through the class, they helped each other with taking notes and answering questions. Snape noticed it and figured Minerva had something to do with it.
Once the class was over he sought her out. "Minerva." She turned towards him. "It's about Mr. Potter and Mr. Malfoy... Did you intervene?" he asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Severus," she said. She was honestly worried they'd gotten in another fight.
"They're... Friends, I believe." Professor McGonagall laughed.
"So let it be," she said, relaxing. "Maybe they put everything behind them," she suggested.
"But in a day?" he muttered. "10 points to both houses for one less headache every day..."
