Taehyung walkes down the all familiar road that is Ashbury Street. The place he's been visiting for a while now. He holds a box full of apples, full of any kind you can think of. On the box, a piece of paper that has "5¢" written in black marker. Ashbury Street is the only place where he gets any business. Even if that "business" is one customer. He glances up at the same house he's been looking at ever since he came to this street. That house is where his "business" comes from. That house is also where that boy is.
"The boy in the window".
The boy that spies on him behind the second floor window of that house. He doesn't know the boy, but yet he still finds himself glaring at that window, hoping that the boy would be there again.
And the boy never disappoints.
His "business" doesn't disappoint either.
Every time Taehyung passes by, a woman comes out of that house and buys an apple from him. She must be the boy's mother. He could see the similarities.
Perhaps she buys the apples out of pity. Maybe out of charity. Or she just really likes his apples for some reason.
It doesn't matter the reason, though.
It's money, at least.
He stopped where he always stopped.
The corner of the street.
As if on cue, his "buisness" walks up to him and buys the same thing every time she meets him.
One Fuji Apple.
5¢.
They exchange like they always do.
"Thank you."
"Have a nice day."
It seemed like the same pattern for Taehyung. He didn't mind it. But, deep down, his gut was telling him that he wanted something to happen.
Something.
And that something happened.
