They made eye contact and everything seemed to stop.
The breeze seemed to end.
The leaves seemed to float in the air.
The trees seemed to stop swaying.
The clouds seemed to freeze.
Their eyes made time stop.

Taehyung instantly recognized him.
It was "the boy in the window."
He was dressed in a white tee, black skinny jeans, and what seemed like a brand new pair of converse.
He was the polar opposite of him.
So why would he take the time out of his day to talk to him?
Well, right now, it was dead silent. "The boy in the window" didn't even try to talk.
Only stare.
Jungkook wanted to talk, but he couldn't. "The boy with the apples" had eyes that seemed to suck him in.
Were they just going to stare at each other?
"Why are you so interesting?"
Taehyung widened his eyes. He never thought that that would be the first thing "the boy in the window" would say to him. He felt his cheeks flush slightly.
"M-Me?"
"Well, no one's out here except us. Of course I'm talking about you. You just look different than everybody else."
Taehyung's head lowered a bit.
He's heard that sentence many times before.
Jungkook noticed Taehyung's silence.
"N-Not in a bad way! I just want to know you."
"Know...me?"
"Yeah. I see you pass by here all the time. You don't wear what everyone else wears. You don't seem to act like everyone else. And you definitely don't look like everyone else."
Jungkook emphasized the last sentence, staring deeply into the boy's eyes. He immediately shook his head though.
Jungkook, you're doing it again.
Don't trust too early.
He might be like him.
He stared at Taehyung again. No matter how much he wants to believe his mind,
his heart is louder.
He's not like him.
I can feel it.
"I just want to get to know you. You're different....I like different."
Taehyung's cheeks were tinted pink. This boy, a boy he saw looking out from a window, is managing to make him blush.
Many people have told him he's different.
But in a bad way.
This boy is the first...
To mean it like a good way.
Jungkook's heart seemed to melt when he saw Taehyung smile for the first time.
But, he could tell there was sadness in that smile.
He wondered why it wasn't genuine.
"My name is Jungkook. I live in that house over there."
Jungkook pointed to his house, not knowing that Tae knew exactly where he lived.
Taehyung looked at the setting sun, and his eyes suddenly went wide.
"Oh shit! I'm sorry, I-I have to go!"
Taehyung rushed to pick up his box of apples, after adjusting his oversized golf cap.
"It was....nice to meet you..."
Taehyung gently smiled at Jungkook, but quickly ran away before Jungkook could say anything.
