Jimin slowly exited the elevator that took him to his needed destination. The familiar door that led to his penthouse stood in front of him. He gently opened it, turned on the lights, and glanced around each area to see if Yoongi returned.
No one was home. This didn't surprise Jimin, who lazily walked into the kitchen. When he was about to open the stainless steel fridge to reveal all of the tempting food that he most desperately needed, a small yellow note stuck to its surface paused his actions. He took off the yellow paper from the fridge, and read the note after turning on the kitchen lights, knowing that he wouldn't see the note's contents in the dark:
Jimin,
I'm sorry, I'll be home late tonight. Got a late shift at work. You know how it can be sometimes. The dinner I made for you should be over at the table. I love you,
Yoongi
Jimin rolled his eyes. He wasn't surprised that this happened. It happens a lot nowadays. The constant meals alone. Always having the apartment to himself. A said promise of being home that night, but it's broken when he wakes up to no one by his side.
But, Jimin always dealt with it, knowing that Yoongi had a difficult job. You always need to be around if you work for the government, and a high rank at that.
"I'm only doing this because I care for our wellbeing." He would say.
And Jimin always believed him.

Jimin woke up the next morning to the sound of rummaging. He groggily opened his eyes, seeing Yoongi frantically searching on countertops, drawers, and basically everywhere he could see.
"Yoongi?"
Yoongi paused. He looked over to Jimin, smiling within his stress. He didn't look good. At all.
"Yoongi, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, don't worry so much."
Jimin was a little taken aback by his attitude, but decided to hold no grudges. He assumed it was because of his obvious stress.
"...Are you looking for something?"
"Yeah, I'm just looking for some files, that's all. Very important."
Yoongi payed no regard to the confused boy that sat on the messy bed. After a couple moments of more searching, he sighed in relief, quickly grabbing his found documents, and running out the door. A few minuets later, he returned to kiss Jimin on the head.
"I love you."
Jimin was hesitant to reply. Yoongi blamed it on the younger's exhaustion.
"Love you, too."
And with that, Yoongi was gone once again, for real this time, leaving Jimin alone with his thoughts.
He needed some air.
Some time away from this house that only reminded him of how many times he is left alone.
