"As much as I love these two, I really wish we didn't have to take them to the ceremony. Neither one will be still or quiet for more than five minutes. I hate to be a disruption for the families who are there to watch someone graduate. I can't believe not a single person was available to watch them." I complain while slipping on my shoes.
"Well most of my employees are in Minneapolis. How many times have I asked you about hiring a nanny? But you always refuse, so here we are." Prince fires back.
"Because 99 percent of the time we don't need one. We just need a reliable babysitter...."
"Who can be at our beck and call? That's a nanny!" He replies, shaking his head with a laugh. "You really need to think about hiring one when we move to Vegas...."
"When?! So it's a done deal?!" I ask, stunned.
"Pretty much. You acted like you were ok with it, momma. Are you not? I can still back out but you have got to decide soon. I'm about to start rehearsals...."
"No, I want you to do it if you want to do it. But do we have to actually move there?" I sigh a little.
"Well I don't know if you would call it moving there, but staying there the majority of the time during those months. It's not like we are going to sale our other houses or anything. We will definitely be at Paisley for Christmas if that's part of what's bothering you about it. Probably even Thanksgiving too, or here in LA if you want to spend it with your family. And there will be some short breaks here and there between January and April where we can come back here or go home home." He explains.
"Ok. I just don't like the thought of living in Vegas or a hotel...."
"We ain't going to be living in no hotel, babe. We will find somewhere to rent." He laughs. "Even though I bet we could find a hotel suite that's just as nice as a house, but I don't want my girls living in a hotel either. We can go soon and check out some houses...."
"You know, I'm about ready to move out of Paisley to be honest..."
"You don't want to live in Minnesota anymore?!" He sounds slightly panicked.
"Not out of Chanhassen, just out of Paisley. The girls need to live in something that resembles more of a house. Like this one." I explain.
"Yeah, I know honey. It has been on my to-do list for a long time now. But something always comes up. A pregnancy, or learning sign language, or a tour, or a drug habit, or a mental illness, or a double hip replacement..."
"True." I laugh. "Hopefully the last three will never happen again."
"No kidding! I'm so ready to be rid of this stupid cane. People look at me like I'm a grandpa or something. But I could bend you over this bed right now and wear your hips out to the point of needing to be replaced." He wiggles his eyebrows.
"Temping, but we gotta go. I can't believe your surgery barely even slowed you down in that department. What did you give it? About three weeks before you were begging me to ride you? My blow jobs just weren't getting the job done..."
"That's not true at all!!! They most certainly were. I just didn't want to get too out of practice. It was worth the excruciating pain..."
"What?! You told me it wasn't hurting!!!"
"Well I didn't want you to stop! But it did hurt like hell! Guess I got a little taste of what it feels like for you after you have a baby. Kinda dread the next time for awhile..."
"Babe!!! I feel horrible now! I wish you would have just been honest with me..."
"How was I dishonest? I didn't say I still didn't enjoy it or want it! It just took awhile for it to be painless. But now I don't feel a thing....wait...that sounded bad...I definitely feel something....more than something..."
"Prince?"
"Yeah babe."
"Just shutup."
"Gotcha. Let's go!"
