I pulled up into the Lockhart's driveway and honked for Kaden to come out. It had been a while since all the guys and I went out for drinks, so tonight was a night to celebrate. The Silver Spoon was the best place to do it, it was a local pub just outside our pack territory on neutral lands. It was also the only place a wolf could get drunk, real drunk. Hobbs, the pub owner, was familiar with our kind and had good knowledge about drinks and folklore, so he concocted a drink we called "Wolves Blood" a couple shots of that and you'd forget your name, what day it was and pretty much everything else.

The front door to the Lockhart's house opened and a strange scent made its way into the truck. It was very subtle but sweet like peaches, not too overwhelming but just present enough, I liked it. I could see Kaden was at the door talking with someone, it looked like it was his younger sister, Arabella. It had been years  since I last saw her, she was a quiet girl and always kept to herself so I never really got the chance to get to know her, but seeing her here in present time I could tell she wasn't a little girl anymore, far from it.

Her golden brown hair was draped over her shoulders, those big green eyes framed by long lashes and her soft pink lips pressed into a thin line because whatever Kaden had said was something she didn't like and didn't want to hear. She was like an open book, easy to read. She wore a nice pair of jeans that hugged her legs and butt just right, the shirt was a little loose but a v-neck and it showed just enough for my imagination to do the rest.

"Fuck," I swore under my breath. Pete, an old friend of ours, who was sitting in the back seat heard and climbed over the console to see what was going on.

"What?" He looked around to see what I was cussing about. "Fuck," he breath out as he looked out towards the porch, "that's Bells? Man, puberty hit her, like hard."

Something about the way he was talking about her and looking at her pissed me off. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, maybe it was because she was my best friend's little sister. Maybe.

Kaden started heading towards us in the truck. I tried to compose myself and act normal, but her scent had my wolf in a frenzy. What's that all about? I questioned myself. Kaden hopped into the passenger seat, Arabella still standing at the door looking straight at me, I looked away first and started to drive away without a word.

"What's up Fin? You seem a little tense." Kaden asked, so much for acting normal, I growled internally.

"Nothing," I drew the word out awkwardly because there was something bothering me, but I wasn't sure how to ask him about it.

"Sure seems like something." He said with a grin.

"How old is Arabella?" Fück, that was not subtle at all. "I mean she's going to be at the pack meeting tomorrow for my ceremony, right?" Nope, not smooth at all. "She's old enough, right?" Just shut up.
