Once Mi Madre came home with the blue lined paper diary and the black A4 sketch pad she took me aside gave me it and told me to break it softly to Isabelle.
I went back into the room.
"Isabelle i have something i thought would help since you like writing and drawing so much i thought we could do this today"
Isabelle replied with a simple one word answer "Yes" so i handed her the sketch pad and diary but when we started on the sketch pad i noticed she was only drawing black circles in random places on the page.
Isabelle and I have been drawing one day a week and i have been trying to get her to open up to me but having no success and i dont want to push her too far knowing she might just crack and i dont know if her or me are prepared for that.
We did this for many weeks but Isabelle still never showed and signs of opening up. Every time i tried she would stop sketching and look into a open space and then start sketching again.
It seems i wasnt having any success with Isabelle. I still had no sign of her being ready to open up to me until one day she just started doodling her Madre and Padres names over and over in her sketch pad. Maybe this was a sign of her opening up i sure hope it was.
Two years had past, i am now 10 years old.
We would still draw and write once a week. At one point Isabelle drew a red puddle in the middle of the paper and two sets of glazed, staring eyes.
The drawing confused me to no end as i would stare at it trying to see what it could possibly mean, but came up nothing.
Unfortunatley after that picture she went back to drawing circles and writing her parents names.
There was still next to no progress made and i was starting to worry.
