A dainty circular diamond glistens under the streetlamp, reflecting a light purple color from the light. Adorned with leaf shaped accents along the shoulder, all on a golden band. It's divine beauty appears to be vintage, like and old European engagement. Alluring it is definitely, my eyes remain glued to the ring.
My mind is still processing the sudden moment, my emotions stuck in a brawl. The raindrops pouring onto the ground and colliding with objects all around us, the sounds echoing through my ears nothing but the sound of rain and mind frozen on the ring.
Until the sound of Logan's voice brought me out, my eyes shifting to his "You said you were tired of it all and quite frankly so am I. I don't want to lose you anymore either, a moment without you feels like an entire lifetime. My love for you is undying, it'll endure forever until my very last dying breath not even then. We've wasted so much time apart when we were always meant to be. You may not believe in soulmates or true love but I do and you are mine. I don't want to waste anymore time, I just want to be with you." He says, voice soft but full of strong desire and deep affection.
His eyes search mine, waiting for an answer as do I. My mind clicks, processing what's occurring I glance at the velvet box, the engagement still resting in the plush mold. My eyes widen, taken back by its beauty and it's gesture. My eyes shift to Logan, his eyes still on me appearing a little unsettled now. Looking back at the ring, I step backwards slightly. This is extremely overwhelming.
He loves me, his love for me is undying. I love him, my love for him will endure for eternity. He's proposing to me, sudden and unexpected but its a proposal. Say something!
My mouth opens, speaking "Yes" softly but audible.
Logan seems taken back by my response, most likely because I took so long to respond. He looks relieved now, blinking and trying to process moment as well. The edges of his lips curve into a smile "Wait" He says, he drops down to one knee despite being in the pouring rain, velvet box in his hands.
Glancing at up at me, eyes gleaming and smile wide. "Will you Alena, my love, marry me?" He asks
My lips curve into a grin, butterflies dancing in my stomach, heart beating rapidly but beating for him. "Yes. Yes" I respond as I gaze at him with adoration.
He rises up from the ground, hurriedly getting to his feet with such urgency. He pulls the ring out its box, I hold out my left hand. He takes it gently, his hand warm against my cold skin as he slides the ring around my ring finger. Once it was on my finger, I placed my hands on the back of Logan's head, pushing his head down to mine where our lips crashed.

The majority of Manhattan's elite have returned home to New York except for Serena and I. Serena's job is here in LA, working in the movie industry while I haven't yet made piece in California.
Something's holding me back from returning to New York even though it's where Logan is. He insisted I went back with him but I told him I needed a few more days, I couldn't keep him here, not when he has a company to run. We talk a few times everyday though, keeping in contact constantly even if it's just a check up text.
I drive through the street I grew up in, where I learned how to ride a bike, where all my childhood memories lie. I park the car across the street. My feet carry me across the street and to the sidewalk, stopping in front of the house, my eyes scanning the darkened house. Nothing but a street lamp lights up the part of the lawn where a Sold sign is skewered into.
