The elevator rides down at a slower pace than I've come accustomed to, perhaps it's just that I want to get off of it already. Everything goes slower when you don't want it to and faster when you don't want it to.
My eyes remain on the elevator door, waiting for them to open. My hands are clasped together in front of me, my finger tapping against the front of one hand.
"Are you still mad at me from disappearing at the party?" Logan asks whom stands beside me.
"Are you still going to keep lying to me?" I ask without moving my eyes or body.
He sighs and I can feel his eye roll. "I'm not lying to you, Lena." He says.
"Perhaps not but brushing the subject off and failing to respond is just as bad." I reflect, my tone of voice tensing up.
"Yeah, fine. Ok. I'll tell you when you tell me what's been keeping you up at night and in a daze 99% of the time lately." He says.
My eyes divert to him, his arms are crossed in front of chest as he stares at me. Damn him and his ultimatums. My stare only darkens and he raises his eyebrows.
"I didn't think so." He said only aggravating me.
The elevator doors open, finally. I walk out first and exit the building complex. Logan and I waive down cab's, the cars coming to stop upon seeing Logan's long arms and hearing his loud whistle. Mine whistles weren't even whistles, just puff of airs.
"Show off." I huff.
Logan heard, he shot me a side glance before he went up to the cab and opened the back door. He gestured for me to get in as usual.
Everyday, he hails the cabs and I get into the first one. We've grown accustomed to it, it's our thing. So I went in and sat down waiting for Logan to shut the door but he stood there, looking down at me with his blue eyes.
He raised his eyebrows slightly, he was waiting. "I need to go." I state in a rushed tone.
He glances down at his wrist watch "I have about thirty minutes to spare." He said.
I scowled. He wasn't going to leave until I gave him a goodbye kiss like I would usually do every morning. What an ass.
I got out of the cab, not very elated. I leaned in, a quick kiss intended but Logan had something else in mind. He held the kiss longer while holding me as well. When he pulled away, I was still mad but the kiss eased me a little.
He smirked and let me go, I rolled my eyes as I crawled back into the cab.
"I love you." He said.
