Chapter Two: "Why He Had To Go?"

"I love you, girl", he said.

"I love you more", she replied.

"If you say so", he then said.

And just like that, the lovely couple kissed, hugged tight and said their goodbyes because Cory had to leave to go Canada for a few days. She wanted to go with him, but couldn't because work was holding her back.

So Cory left for Canada while Lea stayed home to take care of business. She was counting the days, the hours and the minutes until it was time for Cory to come back home, but little did she know that things were about to change, little did she know that things were not going to go the way she was hoping...

Because, whether we like it or not, things don't always go the way we want them to.  

*July 2013*  

It was the night before the 13th and Lea was so tired that she went to bed after sending Cory a goodnight messaged and telling him how much she loves him.

A few minutes after midnight, it was now July 13th, her phone started ringing and, after picking it up, she completely lost her mind. She just got the worst news of her life, via a phone call. She never thought the day would come where she would have to go through such a thing, she thought all this was in the past, she didn't know he had started using again...

"He's gone", she said to herself.

"He's really gone", she then said a little louder.

"HE'S GONE!", she then screamed and broke into tears.  

She got the news only a while before it went public. She didn't have the strength to make any phone calls to notify her friends and family about what she had just found out, but as soon as they heard the news on TV, they all rushed to her house without giving it a second thought. Everyone was trying their best to make her feel even a little bit better, but no luck. She was inconsolable, she was feeling like she had been hit by a truck. 

She spent hours and hours crying non-stop and wanting all this to be a lie, but she knew it was real even tho she didn't want to believe it. After a while she was so tired, she had no tears or strength left, so she slowly fell asleep on the couch, in her mom's arms and next to her best friend, Jonathan.

Even tho Lea was now sleeping, nobody left her side. Everyone stayed there through the night with her. Nobody wanted to, and nobody could, leave her alone.
