Noah's POV

I stopped surfing the early evening waves and rush home to get ready for dinner with Naomi, you can get it by now that I'm excited as hell. Getting something to wear is the easiest part of this evening, I choose some black jeans paired with a button down gray shirt, rolling the sleeves to my elbows.

"Going on a date, brother?" Elle leans on my door frame, smiling.

"Yeah, otherwise I'd be going out in basketball shorts and a tank." I smirk.

She chuckles and walks in. "So, it's Naomi your getting all dressed up for... you know you could've done a suit and tie kind of style."

"I'm not a suit kind of guy, you know that." I scoff and look at my appearance one more time in the mirror before grinning. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to pick up my date and whisk her away to the best dinner date she'll ever have."

Elle laughs and nods confidently. "I don't doubt that for a second, have a nice time, Noah." She smiles and walks out. "Don't scare her!"

I say goodbye to my parents before hopping down the porch steps to my car in the garage, it's not such a long drive to Naomi's house so I'm there at 6:40. I shut the car door and jog up to Naomi's front door and ring the door bell.

The door opens and I shake my head in surprise.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Noah Maxwell." Jack leans on the door frame. "Who would've guessed?"

"Oh, I would've." I chuckle and we fist bombs.

"Naomi's just sprucing herself up, come in." Jack leads me inside and we wonder around till we're in the kitchen. "So I don't have to go all 'big brother' and tell you what happens if you disrespect my sister, right? That's really exhausting." He says. "The amount of talks I've had with potential husbands.." He tisks.

I laugh. "No, you don't.. I wouldn't hurt her."

He nods and takes a sip from his beer. "My dad would do it for sure, if he and mom were here."

"Working then?"

"Workaholics, like I said... never home!" He shrugs.

I nod. "So how's lectures going?" I ask.

"Boring, all the same. Do you think I should shut uni out of my life too?"

"Bit too late for that, mate." I say.

"Too late for what?" A sweet voice asks us.

I turn around and my eyes widen out of their sockets.. Naomi's... damn.

"You look breathtaking." I say.

She blushes. "Thanks.. you clean up well yourself."

"Okay kids." Jack claps. "Curfew's whenever you feel like, I'm going to watch reruns."

I chuckle. "I'll bring her back in one piece, mate."

He nods. "Have fun you too, just not too much of it." He mutters and walks out.

I clear my throat and look down at Naomi, she's smiling after her brother. "Well, are you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." She says.

"Let's go, I've got a reservation." I take her hand in mine softly tightening my hold and lead her out of the door. I could think about what I'd want to do with her in that black dress all night... but I'm a gentleman.
