Today was supposed to be a normal day of training and keeping close eyes on what Asmodeus is going to do. And then something I never expected. Oxley’s hut is on fire. This is the source of the smoke. Still smelling the smoke, I want to throw up because of the obnoxious smell, but then to make it worse the sizzling sounds of the flames blowing from the exterior on top the roof, and part of the tree the hut is attached too; then there is the flames blowing out from the inside windows. I notice the door untouched by the flames, but fearing it could dangerous if I open it.
However, I want to think there is a way. Before I think of anything, I need to find out if Oxley and Desmond are still alive. I run closer to the burning hut as I begin to yell, “Oxley!” As I wait a few more seconds, “Demsond!” I yell. I step closer to the hut and as the flames grow, the heat is unbearable. I continue to yell out their names.
Something inside of me—most likely my demonic side—is pulling me into the fire. I want to see if there is a way not to get burn myself, but I fear my friends are being burned alive. And I do not know what to do until I think about telekinetic powers. I look at both my hands and then all of the sudden; a bust of flames explodes from the roof. Not wanting to wait for long, I pull out both my hands and then focusing hard, I glance at both arms to see black vine-like lines coming through my arms and then I blast off telekinetic shields in order to block the fire from striking me.
As I blast another round of telekinetic shields to the fire from the door, I kick the door open. Thinking a blast of fire will engulf me from the inside out, but instead I blast another round of my telekinetic shields to block the fire from reaching my face. As I get close to the border of the door, I cry out “Oxley!” I then cry, “Desmond!” I repeat again to see if they are there.
I scream out their names once more until I notice above me the wooden oak frames are engulfed in flames and are about to cave. I react suddenly to a breaking noise and look to see the burning frames about to come down. I quickly leap to the outside where I hit the ground hard; I notice the burning frames crashing down blocking the entrance. If I did not leap a second later, I would be crushed.
As I curled my fingers into a fist to cough out the smoke, I notice all over me my skin and clothes turn a little darken. Wondering if Desmond and Oxley found another way to escape, I sprint around the back. To my surprise, I notice something nearby the side of the burning hut to a small hump of plants. There lying on the ground is Desmond’s black book. A bit crisp, I dust off the burnt pieces of wood. I look back up where I suddenly hear a moan. It seems someone is hurt, and I might know who it is.
I sprint close to the back of the hut and then half a mile from the back I see Desmond lying on the ground. Seeing his appearance darken because of the smoke, I run by his side. I kneel down where I try to use CPR; I use both my hands to press down on his chest. Forget blowing into his mouth, I rather just pumping his chest.
“Desmond, wake up!” I yell as I pump his chest again; I then slap him. “Come on!”
Then suddenly, Desmond coughs. I try to get him up by carrying his right arm across my neck, where I anchor. “Can you walk?”
“I…think so.” Desmond say while he still coughing out the smoke.
Then I wonder about Oxley. If Desmond is here, where is Oxley?
“Desmond, where’s Oxley?” I ask.
“I thought he was with you?!” Desmond state confused.
I then turn back around to see the hut continue to deteriorate in the fire. Is Oxley still inside the hut? “Oxley!” I yell out his name. And then out of the blue, the hut explodes. The force knocks both me and Demsond to the ground.
