Lets begin with how I thought that the prologue should have started out. I feel like the prologue should have went how it went at the beginning for the most part. I felt like the world being at peace and the idea of Hope's Peak Academy as a whole was good. A high school that only accepted talented individuals who excelled at what they did were called "Ultimates" and the new Ultimates were being invited to attend the prestigious, world famous school, known as Hope's Peak Academy in hopes of sharpening and strengthening their own, unique special talents. I did feel like Makoto should of had a different talent though. I felt like the Ultimate Lucky student talent was just a cover up for him to attend Hope's Peak academy so that he can be the main character. I would have liked it better if Makoto had a basic and not too far out there talent. Maybe something like the Ultimate Problem/puzzle Solver or the Ultimate Eidetic. I feel like something like the Ultimate Eidetic, with an excellent, photographic memory, would have made him interesting and make more sense in the trials as well. It also does not change his character all too much at all because Makoto just so happened to have been born with his talent rather than developing it like most of the other Ultimates, who worked really, really hard for theirs, did. After that, the introductions of the characters and prologue would play out perfectly the same as the actual canon game from there. Everything will have went the same. Monokuma than shows up and explains the killing game to everybody and everyone refuses it and Mondo gets angry and Monokuma warns all of them about violating the school rules. Personally felt like the prologue was perfect other than Makoto's talent kind of being an excuse for him to be accepted so that the story could happen with him as the lead.
Next up is chapter 1. After Makoto had been punched by Mondo, he leaves his room only to be confronted by two people. Sayaka and Junko (Mukuro) who went to check up on him. Makoto sees them down the hall in the dorm area while they were heading to his room and they all talked about everyone panicking and going their own ways. Kiyotaka tried to order an investigation and everyone, being scared for their lives all went their own separate ways. Sayaka and Junko (Mukuro) did not want to leave Makoto alone in his current conditions however. The rest of the day is Makoto investigating everything that is available to you that day with Sayaka and Junko (Mukuro) by his side. You also run into the other characters while investigating and you also constantly have Sayaka being positive to them and Junko (Mukuro) being all tough girl on them. After the day is over, Makoto, Sayaka, and Junko all go back to their dorm rooms for the night as does everyone else.
The next day, everyone begins investigating again and Makoto investigates with Sayaka and Junko (Mukuro) again. After only around five minutes of investigating, Kiyotaka begins rounding everyone up and the three are all forced to attend Taka's "meeting." Once everyone arrives, Kiyotaka asks everyone what they found so far. Everyone begins talking and discussing everything and everything plays out like it did in the actual game from there with the agreement statements tutorial and everything. After that long meeting, the plot skips the investigation segment of the day and goes straight to nighttime.
The next morning, Taka will ring Makoto's doorbell and talk about his breakfast meetings. Makoto will attend the breakfast meeting and everything will play out normally there. Kyoko will also find that map about Hopes Peak academie's layout so that everyone could confirm that where the cast is trapped in is, indeed, Hopes Peak academy. After that, Makoto will begin his Ultimate Eidetic powers and discuss everything relating to what he remembered that he knew and read online about Hopes Peak Academy. Makoto would discuss all the information that he remembered and help confirm some things about Hopes Peak academy and how the pictures online did look very identical to hopes peak academy minus all the iron plates, cameras, monitors, and lighting of the place... Makoto also does mention that there are strange blurs in what he remembers, however. The plot than fasts forward to two days later and everyone is getting restless at this point, but so is Monokuma. Monokuma comes out and talks about a motive. Everyone than goes and receives their motive. Everything plays out the same way as the game, except when Sayaka runs off in fear, both Makoto and Junko (Mukuro) go to check on her. Sayaka in nowhere to be found though. Everyone begins looking for her only to fail for the rest of the day. That night, Makoto hears the ringing of the doorbell at his room. Curious as to what it is, Makoto goes to check on it. When Makoto open the door, Sayaka runs into the room crying. Makoto and Sayaka both sit down and Sayaka starts explaining her motive to Makoto and Makoto than explains his motive to Sayaka. Sayaka than talks about wanting to kill to leave (keep in mind that the class trial wasn't made aware yet). Makoto tries talking her out of it, but Sayaka starts freaking out. Makoto finally managed to calm Sayaka down and Makoto comforts Sayaka in his room all throughout the night that night.
