His voice is so masculine, so deep, I cannot describe it. I am inhaling and exhaling so fast, my heart might explode now.
"Hi" I try to sound bold, but unfortunately, my voice comes out more like a squeaky whisper.
"Would you mind, if I take a seat next to you?"
My breath is hitching. "Sure." I offer him a smile. My heart is racing. I am afraid even he can hear it!
As he sits beside me, it feels so hard to breathe. He is looking at me.
"Anything wrong?" he asks with concern visible in his eyes.
"Oh no. Nothing." My face should be looking like a red tomato right now!
"May I know your name then?" he asks. "I am Balthazar Dickens."
"K...Kiara. Kiara Adams"
"Nice meeting you Kiara" he brings his hand in the manner to shake.
As I touch him, sparks flow within my body. His touch is so warm and so heavenly like I am meant to be touched by him. Like I am here to belong him. Why am I feeling like this?
I try smiling. I know he is feeling it too. I see his eyes glowing and this time I am certainly not daydreaming.
I faintly hear him growling "mine". That, I may be imagining. You cannot blame me. He is so hot that I feel I am in some other land and not here. And he feels so warm, I am not feeling cold at all. Maybe this is what magical moment means!
Suddenly, there is a loud sound of something crashing. We both turn to look around! And there is Zacharias standing, along with his group, a desk fallen and in fact broken into pieces in front of him. And he is glaring at us, especially Balthazar, I think.
I withdraw my hand that Balthazar was holding and he turns to look at me questioningly.
I look at Zacharias. His eyes, more black than before if possible, which clearly shows he is angry. But why? I don't have an answer.
An old looking man comes running inside the class. He is tall and sort of muscular and a bit pale, like Zacharias. He looks like he is in his mid-forties though but his eyes, they look older. What the hell am I thinking? I think I am certainly going mad. Yes, obviously. Somebody please treat me!!
"What is happening here?" he has a loud, commanding voice which jerks me back to reality.
"Everyone take your seat!"
Zacharias and his group are glaring while taking the seat to the opposite corner of where we are sitting. And I look at Balthazar, who is glaring as hard as they are. Is there some kind of war between them? It seems so.
The whole class is silent. The professor starts the class but the glaring has not stopped. And what is confusing me more is why didn't the professor do anything about the fallen desk? This place is something else. And not to mention the tension is so thick in here, a knife would cut it. I cannot be here like this.
Thirty minutes have passed but the glaring is not over. This is becoming too awkward. I haven't paid a single attention to whatever Mr. Leonard is teaching.
I finally dare to whisper to Balthazar, "Hey, do you understand that last question?"
Finally, thanks to the celestial power of my vocal cord which was able to produce a sound, breaking the glare he looks at me, his eyes still glowing. He inhales deeply and blinks shuts his eyes.
"Yes, do you require my acquaintance in understanding it?" he asks as he slowly opens his eyes, making my breath hitch again.
"Yes, I do"
He nears me as he turns my notebook open. As he starts scribbling something, and as I am being able to smell his divine scent in my nostrils, I hear something like a wood cracking sound. As I turn around to find the source, I see Zacharias, with clenched jaw with his fist clenched around the desk, cracking it apart, he might break it.
I feel responsible for that. I look at Balthazar, and he is smirking. Okay, this has to stop. I look back to Zacharias who is in the verge of cracking the desk apart. I shake my head towards him. With pleading eyes, I look at him, which softens his eyes. His jaw is not clenched anymore and his fist is leaving the desk.
I offer my encouraging smile to him. And he nods back.
What is happening? This is totally new to me. I feel Balthazar stiffening beside me. He looks at Zacharias, a challenging look in both of their eyes.
I stand up. I cannot take this anymore!
"Yes? Any question?" Mr. Leonard asks.
"I need to go out" I reply.
"Okay? Return soon miss Adams. This class will be important for your credits" the Professor starts to write in the board again.
"If you would excuse me, Balthazar?"
He gives me a way out. As soon as I am out of the class, I start walking fast to search for the restroom. Out of nowhere, I find myself being pulled by a strong hand that my back crashes right into his hard chest.
I look up to find Balthazar gripping my hand.
"Kiara, I need to tell you..."
Another hand grips me opposite to Balthazar and my side crashes into his chest. I look up. It's Zacharias. His touch is cold, very very cold. His smell is divine and his skin is so smooth looking from here, I want to touch him.
But I could not. Both my arms are held by each of them and both are glaring at each other as if they both will be murdering each other. Brutally, I should say!
"Mine" both of them roar at the same time which is so loud that it echos all around the hallways and beyond!
