"You are completely stable and ready to go home." The doctor says happily, clearly glad to have Brent out.
"R-really?" I say, baffled.
"Leave. Now. Before he comes back in!" The doctor says, triggered af. I walk out the door. Brent squeals and picks me up bridal style.
"Yay! You're okayyyy!" He cheers. I slowly let myself down from his arms.
"No, I have something to do." I say grimly, and head to the florist. I walk to the cemetery and pay my last respects to Jessica. "I'm so sorry, I wish it was you, paying respects to me. I'm such an asshole."
