Jace's POV:

"What the hell?..." Jace said to himself. He walked downstairs to Izzy and Alec, sitting on the couch, they looked worried and nervous. Jace raised an eyebrow. "You guys okay?" "Is Clary upstairs?" Isabelle said biting her lip looking worried. "No she just made a portal and said she had to go somewhere with Simon, she started crying quite a bit, wait do you know something?" Jace asked walked closer to them. Izzy pushed past him and ran to Clary's room. Jace trained his eyes on Alec. "Clary's mother has... been killed." Alec said looking down. Oh my god, Clary, oh my, Clary doesn't need this right now... "Oh my god Alec...." Jace trailed off.

Clary's POV:

Clary stood there. Staring at her mothers dead body, laying on the ground, motionless. The clave had informed Simon about it and he had told Clary. Clary bend down and pulled back a lock of her mothers fiery red hair. Her face looked calm, free of worry and stress. Her mother was always anxious about Sebastian returning and hurting Clary. Clary studied her mothers body, her eyes full of tears. Her face was a sickly pale, her hair a curly mess and a sword stuck straight though her chest, blood dried at the handle and pooled around her corpse. "Clary?" Clary didn't turn to see who it was, she already knew, it was the consul, Jia penhollow. "I'm sorry about your mother, by the markings on the sword we insecticide it to be your brother, Sebastian, I'm so sorry." Clary tried to stand but her legs buckled under her. "Clary!" Simon caught her as she was about to hit the ground. Clary cried in Simons arms for what seemed a few minutes. "I-I'm so so-rry m-mum." Clary wept over her mothers dead body. "S-Simon please t-take me ba-ck to the inst-itute." Clary cried. Simon carried Clary to the institute, curled up in his arms, weeping. Simon opened the doors and stepped inside to see four shadow hunters. "Clary!!" They all yelled. Jace ran over to Simon and Clary. "I can take it from here,leach." Jace spat. "After what you did? Not a chance." Simon said in a low voice that sounded like a growl. "Don't you-" "Please, just, I need to be alone." Clary cried in a pained voice. She climbed out of Simons arms and went to her room. She climbed into bed and wept. "Oh dear little sister, such a pity wasn't it?" "S-Sebastian?" Clary stuttered. "Yes dear sister?" "Get the hell away from me!!!" Sebastian strode over to Clary and kissed her forcefully. "GET OFF ME YOU BASTARD!" Clary yelled.

Jace's POV:

Jace heard Clary yelling. "One second." Jace tried to run upstairs but Simon restrained him. "Don't you dare-" Jace pushed him out if the way and sprinted to Clary's room. "oh dear sister didn't you miss me?" "GET AWAY FROM ME!" Jace burst through the doors to see Sebastian holding Clary. Jace pulled out a sword. "Don't you dare touch her!" Sebastian turned to face Jace, Clary behind him, Sebastian holding her there. "Oh dear brother are you jealous?" Sebastian kissed Clary hard on the mouth, she squirmed in his arms. Sebastian turned and smiled wickedly. Jace advanced quickly towards him and Clary and jabbed the sword at Sebastian, but he was too quick, Jace had stabbed Clary in the stomach, deep. Clary gasped and clutched around the blade at her stomach. Sebastian smiled. "Oh little brother, what have you done?" Sebastian said amused. "Clary." Jace breathed. Clary was gasping for breath, she fell to the ground bleeding immensely. "Jace" Clary gasped. "It's okay, I -" Clary cried out in pain. "I know you meant to hit him." "Clary, Clary I'm so sorry, everything is going to be fine." Jace said trying to reassure her, but he was actually trying to reassure himself. "Jace, I don't- I don't have much time, Jace when I die, promise me to find someone else, love them and marry them-, I will always loved you Jace and I always will." "Clary! Clary no, please, please don't leave me! You will be fine, please." Jace eyes filled with tears. "Jace- don't- you know it won't be- my life has always been filled with broken promises, I love you Jace, goodbye." Clary's eyes fluttered closed and her chested stopped rising and falling, Clary had died, because of Jace. "Clary? Clary! Clary please! Please don't leave me." "She's already left." Sebastian said with a wicked smile and disappeared. "Goodbye Clary."
