Luhan POV

We all sat down, Mia on the couch in her wolf form, much to Hyungwon's annoyance. Not like the wolf cared anyways.

"Well? Go on Luhan, I don't have all night." Ok, so Hyungwon was mad. Can't say I blame him. I kinda put him and his unborn child in danger. I settled back and began my tale.

"Yesterday, Sehun and I were walking in the park near our safe house. I knew we were being followed, but I was too busy with my mate to really pay attention. They grabbed me first and used me to get Sehun to stand down. They used me against my own mate, and he played right into their hands. They beat me and forced him to watch as they took turns... using me. Then they forced me to watch as they drugged him with some sort of hybrid chemical. I watched as he turned feral. Do you have any idea how it feels to have your mate go feral?" They shook their heads, eyes gazing at me in pity. I hate that feeling of helplessness.

"It's like having your heart ripped right out of your chest, mixed with the pain of being stabbed with what feels like a million needles. I watched his eyes turn black, his black hair turn white, his face lose all form of recognition. And then they set me free and told me I had a 10 minute head start... before they set him after me. So I ran.... I ran until I found you guys, and I am so sorry for putting you in danger. I-I'm so sorry." I couldn't keep it in anymore. I burst into tears, the full weight of the situation came crashing down on me.

Hyungwon stood up and cradled me in his arms, whispering words of comfort that really didn't help at all. I just wanted my mate back. A knock on the front door made me jolt in fear. Mia stood and walked to the front door, talking quietly with whoever was on the other side before waving them inside.

In walked my best friend and his panther hybrid mate came in.

"B-Baekkie, he's gone." I whimpered, holding my arms out for a hug.

"Oh my poor Lulu! Come here, Baekkie's got you." He wrapped me in his arms, rocking me back and forth slowly, softly stroking my hair. "Chanyeol, get your giant yoda ass over here and help me comfort our friend." The puppy looking boy snapped at the tall male who was leaning against the wall. With a sigh, the lanky boy shifted into his panther form, snuggling up to me and his mate.

I watched with a twisted heart as Baekhyun kissed the top of Chanyeol's furry head, how Hoseok snuggled up to Hyungwon while cradling the pregnant males stomach and.... I just snapped.

I threw Baekhyun off me and ran up the stairs, slamming the bathroom door. Gazing into the mirror at the man who stared back at me.... I almost threw up. Yellowish bruises along my jawline, black eye, busted lip, blood matted in my hair... I looked horrible. No wonder it was so easy for Sehun to give in to them... I'm not the pretty male he knew. 

With a scream of anger and heart ache, I slammed my fist into the mirror, watching in fascination as blood streamed down my split knuckles.

"Lulu?! Please open the door! Please, come on honey, you need to open the door!" Baekhyun pleaded to me. I slowly unlocked the door, smiling tiredly at the four people staring at me in shock and horror.

"Luhan? What have you done?" Chanyeol's voice was strained. He never could stand the sight of blood or any gross things for that matter.

"His mind is slowly going downhill. It's an effect from the loss of his mate. He needs to be watched for as long as this takes." Mia spoke from behind us, still in her wolf form, her golden eyes holding sorrow and empathy.

"Mia, how do you know so much about these things?" Hyungwon asked, wrapping my hand in a large towel.

"Hyungwon, I am much older than you all combined." We all looked at her curiously. Then it hit me.

"Wait, Mia? That was the name of the Goddess Artemis's most trusted hunting hound, legend says she went missing after Zeus and Posideon had a small war between the gods. Mia, or Amythmia, was the oldest and strongest of all her hounds."

"Well done little one, I knew I made the right choice in dubbing you Protector." Mia chuckled, a deep rumbling sound from deep within her chest.

"Is there any way we can save Luhan's mate?" The white wolf cocked her head to the side, thinking hard.

"There is, but I'm afraid you might not like how it can be done." That peaked my interest.

"Anything, I will do anything to get my mate back."

"To save your mate, you must take that which makes him beast." I looked at the others in confusion. The fuck was she talking about? Suddenly, Hoseok shot his head up like a rocket.

"Hang on! That means we gotta make Sehun full human?"

My last thought before the world went black was two simple words:

Oh fuck.
