Chapter Three: Nature Revealed, Part Two

Zuniper said goodnight to Nexis and walked into her home. The nights events blurred into one confusing mess...what was she? What was Nexis? What was her father? Nexis had described him as a no good tyrant, but he had been nothing but kind to her; loving even. How could someone she had called daddy for the better part of her life be a tyrant and be the one that ordered her to forget her best friend? She shut her door and ran up to her bedroom. Ignoring her parents calls for her attention, and worry about her whereabouts. She shut her door and locked it. She had to think about tonight's events.

That night Zuniper changed into pajamas slowly...trying to mull through that night's turn of events. Nexis had said they had known each-other for years, and when the relationship between her father and his soured, her father ordered her to forget her best friend. While Nexis had to live knowing all about her, and know that she had no idea who he was. Then there was the fact that Nexis was delusional. How could she be a demonZuniper couldn't even kill a fly...much less her father. How could Nexis do that? Kill his father?

Zuniper crawled into bed and checked her phone to be sure Kenzi hadn't called or texted to see how her walk with Nexis had gone.  Instead she found a text message from Nexis.
Sorry if I scared you.  I shouldn't have dropped such a bomb on you.  Forget everything besides what I said about us knowing one another.  You must think I'm delusional.  Hell I would think I was delusional.  Well goodnight my exotic goddess.

Against her better judgment Zuniper started to reply to Nexis' message.

Answer me this; did you truly kill your father,  and if so why?  Why tell me at all?  I do think you are delusional, but really half the people I know are... a bit ODD if you know what I mean.  Anyway  goodnight my delusional night bird

She hit send and plugged in her phone, she wondered if her father would remember Nexis and the friendship that had soured years before.  She couldn't recall any sordid details of her past and she hardly remembered ever leaving the country.Much less forming a comradey with another human being.  She only remembered being very lonely as a child,  so much so she had cried at the very sight of other children.  She yearned for a sibling a younger one-she couldn't stand her older brother, and her sister had since then died; but then they would probably scoff at her as well,  dubbing her odd and unnatural.  Her beauty was ethereal and almost eerie.  Children kept their distance from her and so did the parents... believing her to be a witch or-- demon.  Was she really a spawn of Hell?
