"What do you mean I have a new roommate!?" I yelled at my mom over the breakfast table. The chef scraped more eggs on to her empty plate as she folded her hands together with her business face on.

"It's only until we can remodel the guest bedroom for him. Give him a break, sweetheart. His parents just die, he has nowhere to go. We're giving him a bed and a job. Play nice, Hailey.

"Uh, he?" I glared at her with my arms folded against my chest tightly.

"His name is Josh. He'll be here this evening when you get home from school." She smiled.

I rolled my eyes and made my way to the the frooor where our butler, James was holding it open for me. I flashed him a white smile and took off to my cherry red Mustang. The shiny paint glowed in the morning sunlight, as always. I hopped in and sped off to school. I still couldn't wrap my brain around what my mother had just told me.

I pulled in my driveway, unprepared for a meeting with my new male roommate. When James opened the door for me, I saw a tall, muscular figure standing in the living room. He had dark, wavy hair and slightly tanned skin. His tight shirt proved his body fit. I smiled at the extremely attractive teenage boy standing before me.

"Hey." His voice a smooth, deep grumble. It made my bones go soft.

"Hi." I changed my expression to boredom so he wouldn't notice how attractive I found him. For the first time, I noticed my mother was standing next to him. "Hey Mom."

"Hailey, this is Josh. Josh, Hailey." She introduced us. He held out his hand expecting me to shake it. He wasn't from around here. I took his hand in mine and shook the way my father taught me to. His hand was really strong. Not surprising.

"Hailey, why don't you show Josh his new room."

"My room, you mean." I mumbled under my breath and took Josh's hand to lead him to my bedroom.
