McKenna. As soon as I started talking I couldn't stop,Natasha couldn't stop smiling . "I have to see her , you have to see her." "Steve come on I'm not good with kids." 1 hour later I was at the door ready to go, I knew that Nat didn't want to go so I thought I hours just leave now. I was about to say goodbye when I saw her walk in. "100 percent I just didn't know if you were" she smiled at me with a tint of sadness in her eyes. "I want kids Steve, might as well start getting comfortable with the idea now." 30 minutes later
We were walking down the hall, I could feel Natasha's grip on my hand tighten as the woman from yesterday brought us to McKenna's room. "Hey,it's ok" she nodded nervously as I placed my hand on the knob and slowly twisted it. "McKenna??" No response. Natasha turned to me looking a little confused "Maybe she's sleeping." I knocked again "McKenna its me Steve." "Rogers???" I laughed as I suddenly saw her appear from under the bed. "Yeah Do you know any other Steves?" "Only two, don't worry your my favorite." I heard Natasha chuckle silently beside me. "Can we come in?" "Sure..wait a minute....We??" Natasha then stepped out from behind "hi umm... I'm Natasha." I saw McKenna's eyes light as she was ran towards us. "Oh my Gosh, I love you so much Iv read every article about you. After subscribing to the New York Times I looked you up for any information. I know your birthday and your favorite perfume sent and your best advice to beat someone up from behind." Natasha seemed slightly shocked but smiled anyway "really? Well you have good taste in superheroes." "Oh I have good taste in everything." Natasha smirked at McKenna's attitude. "So McKenna what have you been up to?" "Nothing much actually, I re read the first book that Bruce Banner wrote for his gamma radiation theories and confirmations. Then I ate some pineapple with Yogurts and Granola." I looked over to see Natasha's reaction and for the first time since Iv met her she looked both shocked and confused. "You understood that?" She nodded "I'm a big fan of his work." Natasha's POV I smiled at her. She wasn't like most kids her age, I didn't just mean that because of her knowledge I just meant her whole personality. Like most kids she was sweet but unlike most kids she had A sassy sense of humor and wasn't that shy or insecure around adults. Then again I didn't know everything about her and honestly No matter what he says, I know Steve doesn't either. "Hey ..McKenna do you mind if I ask a few questions?" Sure." McKenna's POV We continued to talk for around 30 minutes, I was still trying to calm myself down. Natasha Romanoff, the woman I have looked up to literally forever is in my room. Ah!! I know I should be enjoying this but....I have this awful awful feeling that after today, they will eventually lose interest and stop coming. I noticed when she first walked in that there was no ring on her finger meaning that her and Steve weren't even engaged. I also noticed that Natasha's breathing was a little quicker meaning she was also pretty nervous. I decided to not let this ruin my day. If they wasted their time coming here I'm not going to make it not worth it. So with that kept in mind I put on my biggest smile
8 minutes later Steve's POV "Hey McKenna do you mind if Natasha and I step out for a minute?".... "Oh Will you come back?" She looked a little worried with a tint of sadness in her eyes, I hated upsetting people especially someone as young and innocent as the girl before me. "Always McKenna, always." I didn't even realize I had said the words out loud until I saw McKenna looking at me with a large grin on her face.
Natasha's POV We made our way into the hall, I was a little frustrated that my time with McKenna was interrupted. "Steve what is it? Is something wrong?" "Someone's anxious". "Yeah aren't you? We have Limited time with her I don't want to waste any of it." I looked up expecting to meet Steve's eyes but his were glued to the floor, he was thinking about something. "Steve... What is it?" "What if we didn't have limited time with her?". "What do you mean we only have 15 mor-". "No I mean what if we could see her all the time without having to come down here." "What are you getting at?" "I want McKenna, I want her to live with us." I stood still. Of course I wanted a kid but Steve And I aren't even Married "Steve, We live in stark Tower! nobody knows about us about our relationship! 3rd Person's POV Nothing could mentally prepare Natasha for what was about to happen He knelt down on one knee and pulled out a blue velvet Box. He opened it and Like a pearl from an oyster a beautiful treasure was found A silver ring with a ruby heart in the middle glowed as he spoke
"Natasha Romanoff, you made me realize that no matter how weak someone was they could be stronger when they tried. You made me believe that there was a chance for a man that is a century old to find love again. And lastly you taught me to feel true happiness, This happiness is what I feel every time I'm around you and I want that feeling to stay with me and you for the rest of our lives.
