Matt was going to have to hear it from me.

I decided this while watching them perform from sidestage half an hour ago. Just the fact that I waited this long before telling him had been bugging me all day. He deserves so much better than me. I could have told him this morning when we were together, but I didn't. And the worst part was, I didn't even have an excuse to back me up. I just plainly hesitated to tell him. I am the worst girlfriend ever.

"Guess who," I heard Matt say from behind me before covering my eyes with his hands.

"I could pick that voice out of a crowd of ten thousand."

"Aw, aren't you sweet," he laughed, holding me by the shoulders and turning me to face him. Ilooked up at him, forcing a small smile. His face fell when he saw my expression. "What's wrong?"

I stopped smiling. It was too straining anyway, and I wasn't feeling like it.

"I need to tell you something," I said quietly, half-hoping he didn't hear me.

"Can we talk outside? It's really hot in here," he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and led me out the back door to the parking lot. Everyone else was back on the bus; Ian and Mike were probably already opening up a bottle by now. Matt would definitely be joining them.

"So," he finally said. When I didn't say anything, he spoke again. "Chrysa?"

"What?" I jumped.

"You said you wanted to tell me something," he frowned at my reaction.

"Oh right.."

He had led me to a wall that was hidden in the shadows. If someone would ever come out, they wouldn't see us right away.

"Remember last night?"

"Mhm," he reached up to play with a lock of my hair.

"Josh and I left the place together," I saw him take a breath sharply, as if trying to stay calm.

"I'm guessing it was just so people could see you together?"

I nodded. "There's something else."

"Something worse than seeing you with him everyday? I doubt it," a smile tugged on the corners of his mouth.

“Much, much worse,” I mumbled quietly before taking a deep breath. It was now or never. “You know how some people still don't believe it even though Josh already confirmed it?”

“Yup.. What about it?”

“Last night, we were out by the bus,” I glanced at said vehicle, noticing that the back windows were slightly pushed out. “And here were a few fans who saw us, and they started to come over. Josh figured that whatever happened, they'd have cameras... and that they'd get photos of the whole thing.”

“So, what happened?” he prompted when I hesitated. He had straightened up now, frowning slightly.

“He...he kissed me.” The five-second silence seemed longer than it actually was. It was deafening. I wanted him to say something.. react. Anything. I didn't dare look at him..

“He what?” he said through clenched teeth, trying to keep his temper down. “And you let him?!”

“Oi, keep it down out there!” Josh's voice floated down to us from inside the bus.

“Fuck,” Matt said under his breath before walking past me to the bus. “Ramsay!”

I was pulled back to my senses when he called for Josh. Shit. He was already halfway up the steps when I finally unglued my feet from the ground and started to chase after him. I caught up to him as he more or less violently pushed open the door to the very back of the bus.
