Evi's pov
Really hoped that my new school would be different but because of Xavier I hate it. Going home and dealing with my mother who found out what happened was worse. I got into a huge fight wit her and she ended up slapping me leaving a mark.

I wore a hoodie today so I can hide the bruise.

I got ready and walked downstairs I didn't bother looking at my parents and I left the house. Guess I'll be walking to today.

I got to school and I entered the school as everyone's eyes were on me since what happened yesterday. I sighed as I got to my locker. I grabbed my stuff and shut the locker. I entered the class and sat somewhere different so I can stay away from Xavier.

The bell rang and everyone entered. Adela gave me a confused look and I mouthed "sorry" she nodded understanding.

Xavier entered with Alex he looked at me and smirked. He sat down at his seat and Alex sat next to him.

I laid my head down trying to calm myself down. Don't let him get to you today.

"Okay class today we will be doing a small partner work I've assigned your partners"

"Miss can't you do something different this time! Like let us pick our partner by picking a paper out of a hat or something" a student said. Why would they want that?

"I Uh well look at who've I've assigned you with and we can vote to see what people say" she put the paper on the board and I got up to check so did the class I looked for my name and I was partnered up with Xavier.

"Fuck no" I said to myself.

Sitting back on my seat the class voted. 40% said stick with who she assigned us with and the rest said let us pick out of a hat. So the teacher wrote each name on a different paper and put it in a bowl.

"We will start from this side of the class" she said pointing at my row. A girl got up and picked a name out of the bowl.

"James" she said and sat next to him.

Another guy got up then two more students.

"Evi your turn"

I sighed I got up and picked a paper. Fingers crossed I don't get Xavier.

I opened the paper and I frowned.

"I can't partner up with this person" I said.

"Who is it"

"Xavier" I spat.

"Very well you'll be working with him"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"If you don't you'll get detention"

I frowned as I walked back to my seat.

The rest of the class picked a paper out of the bowl and everyone was sitting with their partners except for me. He will come to me.

"Xavier and Evi get together and work or I'll be giving you both detention"

"Tell her to come here" he said.

"You come here" I said.

"No"

"Then I won't either"

"Stop being so difficult and Evi please go and sit there" the teacher said.

I sighed I got up and sat next to Xavier. Making sure my hoodie wouldn't show my cheek.
