HELLO THERE PEOPLE
I am well aware that I haven't really updated this story. And I'm really sorry, I've just had so much crap going on that it's just UGH
Here we go...

So there you have it.
You know that the lemon-haired boy truly did not die during the Himmel Street bombing. But I don't suppose you know how he survived. But it is most likely that you want to know. What I have learned over the years is this:
HUMANS:
They constantly wish to know everything. It never matters what
it is. They constantly stick their fingers into anything they can, desperate for information.
As soon as I took that boy's soul from his body, something felt off. Now, normally when I strip a body of it's soul, they are always asleep. But not this one. Rudy Steiner was fidgeting in his sleep. And as I walked away from a destroyed Himmel, my sister Life came to argue with me.
"Let the boy go," she commanded, and I looked down in my arms to see the lemon-haired boy, shifting around until finally, his eyes began to open. This was something that I had seen before, but something that had not happened in a long time. When humans died, they technically gave up. They welcomed me with open arms, and I did the same to them.
Needless to say, I panicked.
I dropped Rudy Stiener, and his soul collapsed back into his body, just as they carried him away from the devastated Liesel Meminger. The only reason they could not place him with the rest of the dead was because his hand twitched not only five minutes later.
From what I heard, our young Mr. Steiner woke up in a hospital a week later, not remembering anything except the conversation with Liesel a few short moments before he fell into "unconsiousness". He had spent the next three years with an aunt in Berlin, but he was constantly searching for the book thief.
He never knew that she had been living with Munich's Bürgermeister and his wife.
All he knew was that she was out there somewhere.
It was a love story, oh yes. A tragic one too.
But from what I saw, that was all about to change.

ALRIGHT!!
Yeah.
I'll try to update soon, I promise.
