Many unusual cats, with weird colored fur, and some with fins gathered underneath a tall boulder that seemed to sparkle with moonlight. Tension seemed to high between the cats, and some seemed to tremble with fear. A loud yowl rang the clearing and all the cats looked up to a tom cat who's pelt shone with moonlight while on top a huge boulder.

"Cats Of Water, I know that all of you are scared about whats going to happen next , after some precious territory that was stolen today against the dragons".

Many cats yowled in agreement.

"But tonight I saw a vision, from our ancient ancestors, and they gave me prophecy."

The yowls died down, and there was a dead silence, and the tom continued on.

"The Violent Winds will blow in two paths, one very dark and deadly and one light and strong."

"But aren't violent winds destructive, and how can destruction help us?" A strong built tom yowled up to the cat on the rock.

There were more yowls in agreement.

"I am as troubled as many of you are, but whatever it means, we can't lose hope, there might still be a chance!" The tom persuaded the crowd. And looked back up to the stars.

"I will report anymore signs if our ancient ancestors decide to send me any".

"Meeting dismissed" he meowed powerfully, and leaped down from the rock.

---------:::---------- About 4 moons later----------:::----------

A yowl of pain split the air and many cats appeared from there dens.

" Silent Stream is Kitting"!!! A tom yowled, his pelt invisible in the shadows of the Midnight Sky.

The cats streamed to one certain den to see.

" Alright, Alright, give her some space" a she-cat hissed in frustration.

"Is she going to be alright, Moon Water?" The same tom who yowled about the kitting asked.

"She's going to be fine" the she-cat rasped.

"You worry to much."

There was another yowl of agony from the den.

"Small Pond!"

"Yes, Moon Water?" A small she-cat answered.

"Fetch me some raspberry leaves from my den, they will ease the pain"!

The she-cat padded away.

There was another wail from the den.

"Hurry Small Pond!"

The she-cat appeared a few moments later with some herbs in her jaws.

Moon Water swiped them away and looked at the cat laying in the den.

"Eat these, they will ease the pain" she coaxed Silent Stream, who had no choice but to eat them.

"I feel a bit better " Silent Stream whispered, then dug her claws into the earth as she felt another jolt of pain.

"The First Kit"! Moon Water heard a tom behind him yowled with joy. Silent Stream immediately started licking the kit, who was light blue with a dark blue stripe down his back, and dark blue markings.

"It's a Tom"! Another joyful yowl split the air.

Silent Stream flinched as she felt another jolt of pain rush through her.

Another kit laid in front of her and she started licking it.

"It's a She-kit"!

The kits wailed as they squirmed around helplessly to find there mothers belly. Silent Stream gently pushed them closer with her paw and they began to suckle. The she-kit was light blue with dark blue stripes, but she suddenly laid unmoving.

There was a yelp of fear coming from Silent Stream.

"What's wrong Silent Stream?" asked Moon Water.

"The she-kit, sh-she isn't moving" Silent Stream fumbled, Moon Water padded closer for an examination, and put her ear to the tiny kits body.

To her horror, the kit wasn't breathing.

"I'm sorry to say this Silent Stream, but your kit is dead" Moon Water could barely spit out the words, loosing a kit was a mothers worst nightmare.

"she can't be" Silent Stream yelped but she knew it was true, she moved the she kit closer, and felt the last bit of warmth flood from the kits tiny body.

"She didn't even get a name" Silent stream lowered her head, tears dropped from her eyes. Other cats lowered there heads to grieve. The tom kit underneath her wailed as one of her tears landed on his head. At least there was still one.

She made her move.

"Even though she didn't live long enough to get a name, she will still get one, her name will be Hurricanes Current"she managed to rasp.

A tom beside her lowered his head, and she could see tears welling from them, she quickly recognized WhirlPool, her mate.

"We will all miss you Hurricanes Current, for what a great cat you would've been, we wish you safe journeys".WhirlPool yowled to the crowd, who murmured in agreement.

Grief stricken, Silent Stream lowered her head but raised it back up, looking at her son.

"In remembrance of his sisters death, this tom will be call Hurricanes Wind" she yowled and looked down at the kit with loving eyes.

Live well, Hurricanes Wind,

The kit squealed as she lowered her head to fall asleep.
