Hurricanes Wind woke up with a start, his eyes fluttering open for the first time. Where am I? He wondered. Something stirred beside him. Was that his mother? She had told him that she had a frost colored pelt with dark blue stripes. Her Tired Teal eyes opened and looked at him. Then she quickly stood up.
"Hurricanes Wind Opened his eyes!" She yowled. Something stirred beside her.
"What's all the ruckus about"? Hurricanes Wind immediately realized it was his father! He had a light blue pelt like his, but different markings. Hurricanes Wind' s pelt was light blue, he had dark blue markings like water, and dark blue paws.
"Your son opened his eyes for the first time!" Silent Stream whispered to him. He saw his fathers ocean colored eye flickered over to where he was snuggled up next to his mother.
"He has teal eyes like yours" he commented
"Hey I heard there was a yowl, what is it"? An unfamiliar voice asked from the entrance of the den.
Hurricanes Wind turned his head.
"Sea Splash, you should be back in your den, Sharks Fin won't like you not to get any rest". His father, WhirlPool reasoned. Standing at the entrance of the den was an Ocean colored she cat with blue markings that look like splotch of water. She had friendly looking frost eyes.
"Oh, WhirlPool give her a break, she won't have kits for moons!" Silent Stream replied.
"Fine, but if Sharks Fin blames me for not having her in her nest...." He trailed off.
"Ahhh, I see Hurricanes Wind opened his eyes". Sea Splash meowed.
"If you want to go play with HighTide and LowTide, they are outside of RiverCurrents den." She told him
Hurricanes Wind nodded and he turned his head to Silent Stream
"Can I Go? Please!? Please!?" He begged his mother.
"Of course dear, just be careful!" His mother replied as Hurricanes wind did a joyful leap as he trotted towards the den door. His eyes took a moment to adjust to the sunlight from the darkness of the den. Woah, The camp is HUGE! Hurricanes Wind thought as he trotted out the den door. the camp was built in a clearing. He looked around and found out the camp was surrounded by sand dunes, which must have kept some strong winds out. Around him, cats with different colored pelts padded, doing the jobs that were needed to be done. Now where exactly is River Currents den? Hurricanes Wind wondered, as he glanced curiously around the camp. He then saw a kit outside of a den. I wonder if that's High Tide! But where's Low Tide? He thought as he padded over.
"Hello, can I play whatever game you are playing? I'm Hurricanes Wind by the way."
The silver furred tom turned his head towards him. He had light blue stripes and green eyes. Hurricanes Wind could see a spark of playfulness in his green eyes.
"Greetings, my name is Hight Tide, Leader of the Cats Of Water." So this was High Tide. Hurricanes wind thought.
"Do I have permission to join the Cats Of Water?" Asked Hurricanes Wind
"Yes but you have to prove if you are tough enough to join" sneered the kit. Not a mean sneer, but a playful one.
"Alright, come at me!" Hurricanes wind yowled and dropped into a defensive crouch. Ready to dodge if a surprise attack.
"You won't be fighting me, you will be fighting my trusty fighter here" High Tide said, with a hint of laughter in his voice. A identical kit stepped out of the tall grass that was growing in the camp, a she kit. She looked the same as High Tide, except teal eyes. Next to him, Hight Tide found a small boulder about the size of him to stand on and watch.
