That night Hurricanes Wind couldn't sleep. He just couldn't help thinking about the day. Sure when Moon Water kicked him out of the den, everyone gave him looks of confusion and whispered among one another. Finally, someone had the guts to congratulate him for being able to control water early, but when they said it they didn't have much enthusiasm in there voice. I guess it's not common to have kits as young as me be able to control water, Hurricanes Wind had thought. He decided to go over to his friends and play. They didn't seem to think it was weird that he had controlled water so early. They both had said how awesome he looked with veils of water circling around him.

Hurricanes Wind sighed, wishing his mother was curled around him right now. Moon Water moved her to her den. He lifted himself up of the ground an padded outside to look at the stars. Constellations dotted the sky, he had never seen them before but had heard his mother telling tales about them when he hadn't opened his eyes before. They were more beautiful to see in person than trying to imagine them in his mind.

"They are beautiful, aren't they?" A voice behind him commented. Hurricanes Wind wiped around. There was a she kit who looked identical to his mother, but with ocean colored eyes and she looked about the same age as himself. Who is she? Hurricanes Wind wondered.

As if she could read his thoughts, she said "Oh sorry for not introducing myself, I am your little sister Hurricanes Current."

"I don't have a sister," Hurricanes Wind told her.

"Yes you did have a sister, but I died when I was born. That's probably why you don't remember me." She told him.

"Why didn't Whirl Pool or Silent Stream tell me about you?" He asked her.

"You were probably to young to understand." She meowed back.

"Wait, if you dead, then how are you here now?" He asked an obvious question.

Her ears fell back in embarrassment, "Oh, I'm from the Tribe of the Spirits, it's where dead cats go, and we watch over you and guide you."

"That's nice to know." He sighed. He still wished is parents had told him.

His sister ruffled her fur in annoyance at his answer.

"What?" He asked

"Well it's just that you don't seem all that happy to see me."

" I am happy, it's just that I wish that mom and dad told me." He responded, while looking up at the stars.

"Well congratulations on learning to control water, I may have been up there," she pointed with her tail to the stars. " but I could still see you, you looked awesome! Don't take what other people say to your heart, they are just shocked that you were able to that quickly." He felt her tail rest on his shoulder comfortingly.

He had to admit, he felt a bit better, knowing he had a sister to look out for him. He turned around to say thanks, but she was gone. Looking back up to the stars, he saw one star that was shinning brighter than the others.

That must be her. He thought. Yawning, he crept back to the den and curled up into a ball. He slept like a log.

When Hurricanes Wind woke up, he immediately creeped out of the den. It was almost Sunrise and his father was still sleeping and he didn't want to wake him. Once he got a fair enough distance away he padded normally to the middle of the camp.

Where is Moon Waters den? He wondered. The sun had just started to rise making the clouds in the sky a pretty purple pinkish color. Hurricanes Wind didn't want to be caught by the camp guards. He crept behind the den next to his family's, where there was a space just big enough for him. Hurricanes Wind sniffed the air. He caught a whiff of her scent, but it almost faded instantly, and it was stale. I better keep going. He stayed low to the ground, hoping he didn't wake anybody.at the next den, he heard a wave of coughing, and caught her scent. This must be it! He thought excitedly. Hurricanes Wind skipped around the den and burst through the entrance, but he was a little to loud and Moon Water sat up, but her eyes were closed. Hurricanes Wind froze to the spot, hoping she wasn't awake.

"Mdhdjskk." She murmured to herself than plopped back down into her nest. Creepy. Thought Hurricanes Wind. He slowly crept around her making sure he didn't step on her tail. When he made it around he could see his mother body, she looked a lot a better than before. Her breaths were smooth but sometimes she would cough. Hurricanes Wind also became aware of more shallow breaths on the far side of the den. That must be that cat with the sharks fin. He thought. He had been burned badly as well. He curled up next his mother and slept for the last few hours of the night.
