Narrator's POV

The moment she exited her car outside of the address Doyle had sent his men immediately pulled her inside, roughly throwing her to the ground "Easy boys" Doyle cautioned, pulling her up by her hair "You're early" He told her, holding her roughly by the throat "Where is my boy?" He questioned

"I don't know" She answered honestly "I couldn't find him if I wanted to, at least not without help from my team." She explained "To keep him safe I was never told of his location. The only contact I get is through letters with no return address, short phone calls from burner cells and photos." Unsatisfied with her answer he gripped her by her hair, dragging her down into a darkened room, forcing her into the chair. He had the barrel of his gun pressed against her skull, ordering his men to bring in Aubrey

Emily let out a breath of relief seeing that he hadn't harmed her, but based on the amount of blood splatter covering Aubrey's white top she knew her daughter most likely witnessed someone being shot. Her mind immediately went on the agent traveling with her daughter. Her mother's head of security who'd been with their family since before her daughter was born

"Don't even think about it" Ian spoke, seeing that she was about to comfort her daughter. Tears came to her eyes as she saw the look of panic on Aubrey's face having to see her mother being held at gunpoint. It was the first and only sign of fear the teenager had shown all morning despite her very rough kidnapping. She'd been so in shock after the shooting that she hasn't been able to speak

The teenager's wrists were a dark shade of purple, now bleeding where she'd been trying for the past few hours to break free of the ropes that were tied tightly around her wrists. Her blood stained white blouse torn which was probably a result of her struggling to break free.

"Mom" Aubrey cried, hurling towards her mother only to be stopped by Doyle who roughly grabbed her long raven hair, throwing her into a dark corner of the room

"Mommy can't save you, she can't even save herself" He told her, grabbing Emily up, roughly throwing her beside her daughter where she ended up hitting her head against the cement floor, blood draining down her face
